So many fighters get hyped up, and applauded for their skills. Until the day they step up in class and then people pretend as if they just had a bad showing. Canelo Donaire Pacquiao etc. etc. Stop overrating GGG and let him prove himself. Then you want be so shocked when/if he gets schooled in the near future. Im not saying he's not the truth, but give it some time before you start putting him up there with the elites.
He just called out the top guy in his division, but Martinez will probably not step up himself. So whats Golovkin to do about it?
if he wants to step up in class he needs to fight Andre ward and i believe he will be taken to School for 12 rounds- thats if he wants to fight a top class boxer. Martinez is really ready to be taken out- so its not a step up in class...
Very few fighters live up to the hype. Golovkin still has a lot to prove he has yet to face an elite fighter or the variety of different styles to test him fully and expose many potential weaknesses. But the fact is he's being avoided by the other champions at 160lbs. We'll probably see him step up when he moves up to 168lbs because nobody at middleweight with anything to lose wants anything to do with him. Hard to say what will happen. But I'd favour Ward, Froch and Kessler over him. If Martinez does fight him I think he'd expose some big flaws in Golovkins game but would eventually succumb to Golovkin's power and pressure.
Golovkin is unbeatable. He has a granite chin, took Stevens punches like they would be nothing. Furthermore, he punches harder than heavyweights like Wach, Povetkin and Perez. GGG makes a lot of pressure, he just need to hit once and he breaks the opponents spirit. It's his amateur career, his knowledge, old European boxing school .. he's unbeatable and a living legend. Accomplished. You GGG haters will be the once who say to your grandchildren "I saw GGG fighting" .. but you will hide your hate because it's too ridicolous. GGG is the best talent in boxing since Prime Mike Tyson. There are two things though which will make him superior than Tyson in future. Chin Old European boxing school
Nobody is unbeatable. I like GGG but he is beatable. Hopkins would've schooled him and so would a lot guys that fought at 160 over the years. He has a lot more to prove IMO
GGG is the boogeyman that represents the "step up in class" for every other middleweight. There isn't an active middleweight contender or champion that's beat a middleweight on his level. As more fights against top middleweights materialize, that will make itself clear.
step up? are u kidding or just daft. he's called out ANYONE from 154-168 and still, no top 3 takers, although Froch has showed some balls and seems willing, if he survives Groves. Other than that, NO OTHER CHAMPION has been willing to fight him. Perhaps someone else who has a free date, like Quillin, will step up, but its doubtful.
last four fight were actualy pretty good steps honestly...the last two being top ten in the division so you gotta give him some credit....Martinez is out so they should be workin on Barker,Quillin,Murray even Geale....these are all good fights his team needs to ACTIVELY PURSUE
