Do you remember Haye coming up through the ranks as a pro. He wanted tests and was crying out for competitive fights to prove himself. He took cheap shots at Hatton saying (I don't want to be 40-0 fighting bums over here) and was crying out for the chance to fight in very tough fights. He seemed to love the idea of a competitive fight. Now he seems to be avoiding a fight with Vitali and Wlad instead of doing everything he can to get the fight on. This is a far cry from the Haye who was a breath of fresh air when he turned pro and was rising up the ranks. Has he become corrupt by money? Has his ego taken over and he isn't willing to budge in negotiations? Is he ill advised by his advisors? Is he not confident about beating a Klitschko? Whatever it is, Haye has changed from the guy who would do anything to prove himself and fight the best fighters in the world. It seems like he is now just looking for easy fights that he can make money from... fights that are massively in his favour. It's a shame really.
Once he realized he can make millions beating up old bums and sell it to the dumb Brit fans as "Heavyweight Championships" he changed his mind about writing heavyweight history and simply concentrated on his personal finances.
Haye is a prizefighter. Like all prizefighters, Haye fights for money. Like all smart prizefighters, his goal is to maximise his profits. He knows that to do so, he has to beat either Wlad or Vitali and then fight the other one. His best chance of a win is against Wlad, unless he gets to fight Vitali in a while, once Vitali is even older. He also knows that both Wlad and Vitali want to fight him because they can make more money against him than against anyone except for each other. So he is holding out knowing that every day that passes makes both Wlad and Vitali older and less likely to beat him. Simples.
I don't think you can really blame Haye unless he doesn't fight the Klit's in the end. I am sure he knows it will be all people talk about when mentioning his legacy, and as you people rightfully he say he is money motivated so not fighting them would be stupid both financially and legacy wise. Do we really think Areola or Adamek or any of the other bum pretenders would give him even half a fight? I'm struggling to think of anyone outside K2 who would? I won't lie, I'm pissed that he hasn't fought them yet after all the hype, just the same with Pac and Mayweather but I think everyone in the same situation would have pulled out of the Wladimir fight with the potential of getting absolutely no money from fighting him with the Setanta crap that went on. I'll say again, if he doesn't fight either of the K2's he will rank aside Calzaghe in my eyes. Thought he was a great fighter, never knew how great though and it will taint my thoughts of him forever but if he were to fight them both in the next year, to end his career with being the undisputed cruiser champ, fought a 7ft guy (which despite him being shite is still noteworthy considering he was a world champion), ended A-Farce and potentially fought (maybe even beats) the best heavyweights post Lennox Lewis all in all, I'll say he gave us a decent career. I saw a guy on youtube saying it's hard to be a David Haye fan right now and I can see his point, we are all crying out for the Haye - Klit fights as they will no doubt be massive now and anything but facing them now will be unsatisfactory. However his career isn't over and both him and Booth are promising us those fights. I am reserving my final judgement until his career ends and I think a few others should to.
Im looking at Hayes record now, could someone point out the world class fighters he has fought ?? Other than 'Big Mac', his other fights are with fighters way past prime.

To be honest, at this point I would imagine Haye thinks **** you to every one of us posting on here, slating him all the time. As soon as he did somethink people didnt like everyone turned on him, its not like he has lots of fans who he wants to go and fight for, hes fighting for money because all his so called fans abandoned him.
Boxing is a business. The entertainment business. It doesn't matter how great a fighter you are if no one is entertained. In fact, the only thing that really matters is how much you PROMISE to entertain and how much people BELIEVE you will. You need to act such that you raise the fans' anticipation to fever pitch. You need to have them salivating for it. Then, you turn the screw a little bit more. You tease them and tease them until just before the moment when they start to lose a little bit of interest. Only when they're ready to explode and open their wallets wide do you give in. It's the game. Haye has played it so well that he has started to turn people off. He needs to be careful... the curve has peaked and it's starting to turn, but only for the hard-core fans. The trick, though, is not to care about the hard-core fans, but instead to wait until the curve has peaked for the casuals - a fair bit later. Haye is still waiting for that curve to peak.
I couldn't give a flying **** about him fighting anyone but a Klitschko now, and definitely wont line his pockets by buying any PPV he does. In fact I'll probably watch any Klitschko v haye fight in a bar, but that fight will probably never happen, at least not until the Klitschkos need mobility scooters and zimmerframes.
Haye wants a short career with the maximum gains, why else was he fighting Fraudly? I think Haye gets too much stick for not having taken on the Klits yet, he just made £5million for basically just doing a training camp. I agree he has to fight them next after mouthing off so much, but much of that helped to raise his profile, helped him make his fortune.
This is bull****, all his fans were ****in made up with him until he announced he was fighting Audley Harrisson and instead of just saying 'I'm fighting a warm-up before I go for the Klitschko's', he started to talk about how the Klitschko's are fighting anonymous Americans and he is fighting big names like Audley. Yes he said that, after saying as a cruiserweight all the right things that every purist dreamed of hearing. He tried to make out like the Audley fight was huge, promoting the ****ing life out of it to epic proportions of embarrassment. 'his fans turned his back on him' is some ******ed bull**** mate. The whole dumb-ass population was on his **** for the Audley fight, and they all hated Audley for some unknown reason.

The likes of Tito Trinidad carried a nation on his back and did them proud at every turn, and he made a shitload of dough.
