I think Canelo is a better defensive fighter than Garcia. Mikey's guard is pretty loose, especially in close but even good defence isn't that helpful when you step up 2 divisions. Canelo ate a lot of jabs in both G fights but G is a jab master. Spence's jab is excellent but not on par with G, or at least not yet. The timing of this fight could have a bit to do with the out come

Spence is a little better than I thought. But that doesn't mean he beats middleweights. All the top middleweights send him to sleep.

Forget the higher divisions. He's got Crawford to get past first. And then he's got a big decision to make. He can go up to 154 and risk a loss by Hurd or something, or he can stay at 147 and get schooled by Yeleussinov.

Canelo KO's him, Spence's style suits Canelo, he loves fighters to come to him, he stood toe to toe with GGG, you think Spence can do better, no chance.

Spence moves in straight lines, Canelo's lateral movement and head movement will see him missing loads and then countered. Spence's style relies on him being very physical but against bigger guys like Canelo that style will become less effective. Remember how Brook was pushing him back before the injury? Imagine the much bigger Canelo doing the same.

So you have him beating Canelo, GGG, Charlos, Jacobs, Hurd, Munguia, Crawford, BJS, Andrade, Thurman, Dchenko etc... I must look into this Spence guy some more.. He sounds incredible, tell me, who has he beat? I bet they're awesome fighter's.. Must be!

My Spence vs Garcia prediction goes for this one as well.
Canelo is too big and powerful for a mature guy that can make 147, and you aren't going to beat him on the cards if it's even remotely close.
No route towards victory for Spence that I can see.

Eubank would never fight again and he would end up in a hospital, possibly for a long time and end up with serious irreversible affects from the ass whooping hed take. It would not be fun to watch and Canelo would absolutely massacre him.

Um no...... Lara ,trout, GGG , cotto all outlanded Canelo in terms of jabs . Thats Canelos weakness he always falls victim to the jabs.

Spence has the frame to fill out nicely at 160. It’s a great match up.

I just want to say Spence has faced great competition. When he beat Kell Brook away from home who was the reigning IBF Champion he defeated the best champion at Welterweight who had beat Shawn Porter away from home as well. Ocampo was an unbeaten fighter and mandatory contender he dispatched in 1 round and Lamont Peterson is a skilled former world champion he beat into submission. Chris Algieri, Leonard Bundu and others are amongst his scalps. The point I am making is he has been facing good solid competition. It looks like Pacquiao or Porter next for him which is great following the Mikey Garcia domination. We know Keith runaway Thurman won’t face him and he is more than willing to face Terence Crawford and Danny Garcia. I believe in 2-3 years Spence vs Canelo will be a fight of the ages. I believe Spence provides a stylistic puzzle for Canelo like Mayweather did.

The size difference between Spence and Canelo is nothing like Spence and Garcia. Spence is actually taller than Canelo with longer reach, Canelo is a tank but Spence looks like he can fill out comfortably at 160.

People keep mentioning scorecards but the last ones (115-113 x2 and 114-114) were fair, generous to GGG even, in what was a clear Canelo win.

I didn't check the RBR. Did you score the last one for Mikey?

Spence is an inch or 1.5" taller than Clenelo.

he would be 165-170lbs in the ring compared to 175 or so for Clen.

The size difference ain't huge. Would be a good fight. Cotto held the center of the ring just fine against Clen and he wasn't as sturdy or burly or tough as Spence.

come on man , get real. He hasn't faced 'great' competition at all! Not even 'good'. He has one good win - Brook that's it. Ocampo is completely trash it's unbelievable you even mentioned hiim, Algieri and Bundu are poor and Peterson is average at best, Garcia was way too small.

Edging 7 rounds is enough to get you a decision against Canelo? You need to shut him out to get a draw!!!
