kessler brutal KO. Calzaghe would have ko'd hoppy in the 10th, save for the amatuerish ***** farse of a low blow five minute time out. hoppy loses to ANOTHER "White Boy"....LMAO
Ill make this as short and simple as possible. Kessler's entire offense predicates off his wonderful jab. Calzaghe was able to get inside of Kessler's jab by using movement and not showing Kessler any angles to launch the jab against. Then inside, Kessler is an entirely different fighter...I believe he has one of the best jabs in the sport, but his inside game is below average. If you can get in his chest, his best weapons are nullified. Why is this important? Easy, because Hopkins movement and use of angles is tremendous, one of the best the sport has ever seen (and as good as Calzaghe's is, Bernard's is MUCH better). He will be able to get inside whenever he wants...and therefore in the words of Nazzim Richardson, he will put that jab in the same drawer he put Trinidad's left hook/Pavlik's right hand (from the 24/7). And on the inside, just as he is a better mover, he is that much better than Joe when in there. These were the things Mikkel could not handle vs Calzaghe. It was a phenominal strategy Joe used...but those things...those strengths that he utilized to exploit Mikkel's weaknesses...Bernard is actually MUCH better at doing those things. And unlike Calzaghe (who strayed from his gameplan and seemed to lose rounds when he did), Hopkins ring intellect is astonishing, once this starts to work, he will do it all night. Hopkins WIDE UD. Something in the area of 9-3 or 10-2.
Says the guy who thinks Kessler can BRUTALLY stop Hopkins. atsch Go watch the fight...attempt at learning something about the sport...then come back and talk to me. :good
Hopkins would win probably clearly if Kessler does not ware him down, with an increased workrate or something.
We already had this poll: 112 people think Kessler wins. 72 people think Hopkins wins. Most poeple think Kessler wins, but not everyone.
2 thing can happen imo. Hopkins outsmart/frustrate Kessler and win 10-2 Kessler wear Hopkins down and win 7-5
It's a good question. I think the answer is that Kessler is afraid he might end up not being able to fight while a case is running. Look what happened to Mads Larsen when he wanted to get out. The danish legal system works very very slowly which is the sole reason Mads's break ended up lasting way to long. It's a disgrace Mads's case took so long. It basically ruined his career.
:rofl actually calzaghe had to change his gameplan because he lost on the inside. didnt you watch the fight ? kessler by ko or wide ud.
Nothing funny at all about it. A perfectly reasonable argument. I'd slightly favour Hopkins over Kessler in a close fight rather than the schooling Sues2nd predicts, but Hopkins is too tricky for Kessler. Expect a much more competitive version of Hopkins v Pavlik.
