I expect Cotto to make Margo look terrible......I mean really bad. I love the odds on this fight! Anyways though I hope that after Cotto demolishes him (wide UD decision or possible stoppage on cuts) the money is there for "money may" to sign a fight with a real welter

If he KOs Margarito = :huh = Cotto is a lot better than I believed.
If he outboxes AM = :-( = not another SSM repeat (SSM is not what he was)

Either way, hopefully PBF gets into the ring with one of these guys - the winner preferably.

What are you going to say if it's a real give and take fight where both guys have their moments. What will you say if Margarito drops Cotto?

Hmm.....if its a give and take fight I will assume that Cotto isn't the "boxer" I thought he was. I expect him to easily read Margo's punches and stick his quick jab in his face all night. Margo also isn't good at cutting off the ring so I don't think he will get Cotto stuck against the ropes or corners. If Margo drops Cotto (legit) then the "questionable chin" on him that some people throw around is probably true. But once again Cotto is just a class or two or three above Margo so I don't see any of this playing out. I do, however, expect Cotto to possibly have some trouble finding his rhythm early. Margo is now a "start fast" type of guy (unlike in the past) and so he might be able to take the first round or two, but I expect his excellent workrate to be cut in half by Cottos effective punching and countering

I'll be looking forward to Cotto/Mayweather.

    I'm not.

Not really. I would evaluate Margo's chances even lower than Hatton's against Mayweather (which at the time I didn't evaluate higher than 30%)

So do I: Arum's hype job and widespread ignorance.

Cotto will undoubtedly outbox Margarito and has significant chances of stopping him late.

Such outcome would only confirm what has been established on Nov. 10 2007, when Cotto got the close decision over Mosley - nothing new.

It would also eliminate the false impression that the current WW is highly disputed and competitive whereas it's mostly a two boxers affair.

everyone knows I don't like Cotto, and I expect this to be his toughest fight to date, however if he wins he replaces Floyd as not only #1 WW but P4P #1.

I'm picking Cotto on superior BOXING ability. Despite his good power? A Cotto KO would shock me unbeliveably. It would be one of the most amazing feats I'd have witnessed in a boxing ring.

You dont need KO's to win:nono Given the circumstances? A smart Boxing clinic vs a very tough cement chinned opponent will actually be just as impressive. Boxing isnt just a test of physical skills but of intelligence, control, and heart.

WIN, no matter how you must. Trying to KO a giant? Plays to his hands. JUST BOX HIS EARS OFF MIGUEL!! He's already earned great respect amongst real boxing analyst's, fans, and other fighters. Climb the last rung TO MAYRUNNERDUCKER and let Cotto's legend ring:good

    No.

    1. I already rank Cotto as a P4P fighter and welterweight #1 contender, and think that he has arguably a better resume than Mayweather AT 147.

    2. Margarito is a B level opponent with a poor resume, but regarded highly because of the toe-to-toe basis (good KOs against shitty opponents).

    3. I think Cotto is definitely better than Margarito. And also that Mayweather is better than Cotto. Cotto is elite, Mayweather is elite, Margarito isn't.

If Cotto wins and Floyd tries to avoid the fight further? Its not ludicrous at all, IT WILL BE TRUTH:good

Floyd cannot avoid the winner of this fight, PERIOD. Any attempts at such will only PROVE that he's more marketing THAN REALITY.

P4P #1 because of a win over Margarito!? Margarito is just a good welterweight contender, nothing more; a contender whose best win is Kermit "I beat Mark Suarez" Cintron.

    It would be scandalous, disgraceful.

I think Margarito will put up stiff ressistance for Cotto before getting demolished and broken down to a TKO.

    Typical PBF fan BS:-(

No NOT JUST Margarito but SSM, Quintana, and Judah. In other words? All the top WW's sav Floyd. Cotto should not be penalized if Floyd continues to duck.

In fact? That would be the very REASON he should replace Floyd.
