How do you think their respective careers would have gone? Would Enzo have cleaned up the division flying high on the confidence he would have gained from it? Would have have lost the fights to Afolabi, Lebedev and Frenkel? Would Haye have fit in to the Heavyweight Scene so well, would there have been a rematch that he would have avenged?
I'm guessing this thread is based on this myth that this was a genuine 50/50, whoever lands first wins, fight... Nothing against Enzo, but he had next to no chance against David Haye so I seriously struggle to see how he would have 'sparked' him. If Mac did somehow win then I still feel that unfortunately he would have just been knocked out in his next few fights anyway as he faced the better opposition in the cruiser or heavyweight divisions. The only thing I can guarantee is that Fwank would've had a fat smile on his face and would still be mentioning this fight in his column today!
Haye would have retired as he said at the time that if he lost to Enzo that he would quit and as for Enzo, I think he would have reigned as champion for a while longer before being sparked. Once his confidence had gone and his opponents knew that he was vunerable he was anyones for the taking.
enzo could never beat haye, it was never an option. i dont believe bunce when he says he never picked who he thought was going to win till the ring walk, nonsense.
