you truely are an idiot, any fighter between 160-175 at the minute would struggle with hopkins style, the way he holds so often and doesnt come to fight, people are going to realise this when pavlik fights him, but i will stay quiet until the day comes

A classic case of Calzaghe underestimation. He just beat the man that owned Tarver not long before and Johnson who is possibly the most overrated fighter on ESB as people like him simply is far too limited to have ever stood a chance vs Joe. Remind me, what was Glen's record at SMW again?

Calzaghe defeats all these guys. JC simply doesn`t lose to Yanks.

How do you work this out when Hopkins was winning rounds when he was more active, and not gassing. Hopkins lost rounds through inactivity?

Calzaghe hasn't lost to anyone, so I can't actually argue with you right now.

Neither has Sven Ottke, I guess he beats prime Jones as well, and doesn't lose to yanks.

I don't think Hopkins ever gassed. He is too much of a health freak to gas. I saw Calzaghe adjust, and Hopkins couldn't adjust back. This is why a rematch would be useless.

You've got to be real. That's not what I meant. I just mean I can't argue with him. I already said Roy and Toney would beat Calzaghe, but he can always argue back, so I don't want to argue with him.

You know fully to well he faked a low blow to get time off, the man is 43 years old. He went to the wrong corner 4 times because he's so old, and decrepit.

The more active Hopkins was winning rounds, a younger Hopkins is more active.

I beg to differ. Robin Reid defeated Ottke clearly but the judges robbed him. I suggest you watch the whole of that fight.

What do you think I am, some sort of masochist. I'm not watching that again.

Hopkins younger is better, but he has never been ultra active. He has always been a very smart and patient fighter, that is why his punch accuracy is so high. I think Calzaghe's chin and ring smarts is also underrated. I don't think Hopkins would knock him out ever, and Calzaghe would always out point him at the least. This is my opinion, I could be wrong, I've been wrong before. Hopkins is an ATG, so he could definitely win, but so is Calzaghe, and there is always a possibilty he could win too. I think we need to quit thinking of Calzaghe as those soft Euro Sven Ottke types, and start being real.
