dont think it will come down to that but i think by contract their would be a rematch. i think ward will win this in a fun fight.
I dont think so.. The opening 3 fights each fighter had, was to generate as much points as possible.. The ones with the most points went to the finals (It all got ****ed up, yes).. But the play offs(finals), was supposed to be elimination..
But we do. That is why we need tourneys like this or otherwise it would be meaningless bum central fights because no one want to lose their zeros. I want to see more of this in other weight class. This has generated more interest for boxing than which bum of the month to knock out next. There are going to be hitches as with anything but on the whole this has been great for boxing.
Two things: 1. Was the tourney a success? Most definitely! We got a lot of top people fighting top people. If anyone thinks these fights would have happened without the tourney they are dellusional. 2. Can the fight be a draw? Sure. If Froch wins 8 rounds it will be declared a draw and most American fans will have scored it a draw because of the guided commentating etc.
If the fight was that close, then it would be all the excuse they would need to give it to Froch. I doubt that Ward will leave this to that possibility, and lose by gift decision ala Froch-Dirrell.
