I can imagine Primetime is losing money bearing in mind the marketing behind each SBO production, and that Sky is a brand, whereas Primetime looks dodgy. Imagine if all the promoters got behind it and worked together instead of bickering. You could charge a monthly subscription for regular fights with lots of repeats and build up with regular PPV for the big fights. Small hall promoters could book airtime as well. The problem is that lots of Primetime shows has Saturday Fightnight shows on the same night which blows their subscriber base out of the water
Primetime only came about because of the Froch debacle, they have evolved and improved slightly but on the whole they still are a bunch of amatuers. I dont think you will seem them get any deeper into their boxing project. Ive said it once and ill say it again, the future is having a proper subscription site where you get all the fights and top quality streams. Imagine this site, but with a legal stream section where you can access all the fights. Id honestly pay £20-£30 a month for it as i would scrap my sky sports and premier subs in a heartbeat. Im paying to watch footy/golf/darts/cricket/snooker/nfl/tennis etc etc and i only want the damn boxing...
