That's another thing. Same day weigh ins wouldn't neccesarily clean up the sport. The stopped doing it for health reasons. I don't understand why these guys need to reach like this.

If these two were the same size Pac definitely wins. No way Floyd would agree.

Floyd walks around at 150-155, didn't you notice him drinking fizzy pop, eating lollies and hydrating on the day of the weigh in? The guy doesn't really "cook" down to 147.

Then he's going to get a NO. Truth is, if Pacquiao was the one to bring the testing subject up and try to implement it Mayweather would refuse the tests. This isn't a case of someone cheating, it's Mayweather trying to add a list of his own rules and trying to say he's the boss. Pacquiao fights one fight only his entire career at a catchweight and he's being insulted like he invented catchweights who's career is based on that. Imagine if he asked for those tests to be implemented?, he would get far more insults than Mayweather and we all know Mayweather gets his good share of insults too.

Its just unofficial weight. Fighters are allowed to wear clothes and anything they like in unofficial weight. For all we know, Pac could be wearing his full set of clothes, jacket, sunglasses and loose change in his pocket. Thats why its called "unofficial weight". What we do know is he weighed in officialy at 142 against Oscar vs Oscar 145, 138 against Hatton vs Hatton's 140, he moved up to fight MAB, moved up to fight Morales, moved back up to fight Cotto etc.

In other words, he'd ask him to come into the ring dehydrated? How does that even the playing field? Would Manny be weighing in on the scales too? Because the funny thing is, Manny in his past few fights has actually re-hydrated higher than Mayweather. Guys re-hydrating and coming into the ring at higher weights is a consideration any fighter has when moving up in weight class... it comes with the territory. There is nothing unfair about that. If you contend there is, then you can discredit a bunch of Manny's wins at lightweight because he was re-hydrating to like 146 back then.

One man taking steroids and the other man being clean is an uneven playing field, moreover steroids are illegal in professional competition. If BOTH guys take the tests to assure each other and the sports world that they are clean, whats unfair about that? The circumstances are not comparable.

a weigh in on the day of the fight would favour floyd you ******s, floyd DOES not dehydrate himself and then put back on 12 to 15 pounds, the most he puts back on is 4 or 5 pounds, manny would suffer from this not floyd

The only time Mayweather jumped up in weight was vs Marquez. Other then that he has stayed around his weigh in weight.

This is also a very bad Idea for the fact that cutting weight is no joke, if you cut weight then not allow yourself to rehydrate properly then you are not going to be able to fight at your peak. You are going to be a shell of yourself. You are also going to have to limit what you eat after you make weight which will keep you weak. And if you go over then you will have to worry about making weight again on fight night giving the other fighter and advantage.

This rule ONLY benefits a guy like Pac who is coming up in weight and barely has to worry about cutting weigh during training allowing him to train at his peak rather then train while cutting weight and limiting his meals. which is what he has done already to DLH and Cotto, probably Clottey as well.

Mayweather defeated DLH at 154 with a DLH weighing 167 on fight night compared to Mayweather at 150. Yet he gets hardly any credit for that fight. If Mayweather can do it then if Pacman is as great as people claim then he should be able to do it to.

exactly. it would be pointless. mayweather, as already stated, wieghs around 150-155, even when hes not fightiing. so he easily makes 147. if anything pac might be heavier then mayweather at fight night.
