I wouldn't say that Rios is 'made' for Pac. His aggressive style and lack of defence certainly plays into Pac's hands, but Rios also has a very good chin, and he has the power to hurt and stop fighters...that's not really ideal if you're making a comeback after a devastating knockout loss. If Pac has slowed down and is more vulnerable than before, Rios might be able to get inside, and at that range he might have the edge -- Pac fights at mid-range, and doesn't really do much on the inside.

No, a welterweight fight is a fight in which both fighters are subject to a 147lb weight limit. You don't need to weigh between 141 and 147 to fight at welterweight either, just as long as the weight limit for both fighters is 147. A fight with n agreed upon weight limit of 145 isn't a welterweight fight... It's a catchweight fight, and therefore should not be for any welterweight title.

Pac will dominate. Unless that knock out really ****ed him up I don't see how Rios is given a shot. Let's not forget that Manny was tapping Juan's ass before getting starched and JMM is still a much better fighter than Brandon. Should be a very fun one sided fight.

Only way Rios beats Manny is if he's completely and utterly shot. You can't get a better style for Pacquiao than Rios, the Pacquiao of a couple of years ago would have smashed him to pieces and ruined his career, so if he even struggles with Brandon Rios then you know he's finished and should really retire.

I think he was pulling you up on saying there could be any debate about one of the greatest fighters ever to lace the gloves being ashamed of his career.

Pacquiao transcended the sport but his fire would never last long into his 30s unlike floyd.

Peak of his powers he gives money fits

Yup. I can't see Rios beating Pac in anyway unless Pac doesn't train, and if he gets beat by Rios he should retire. Pac isn't nearly as shot as people think, he is defnitely past his best though.

If he loses, he needs to retire

people seem to forget that up until the KO punch, Pac was breaking JMM to pieces on his way to stopping him or knocking him out himself.

He smelt blood, went for the KO, and stepped into a perfectly timed punch because he got reckless.

I expect to see a little ring rust, but i dont think hes a shop worn as every is suspecting.

If your typical Pac shows up then I feel sorry for Rios, it doesn't get more tailor made than this. This may very well be an instant career shortening for Rios. Rios even pulls a competitive fight with and Pac should retire.

If it wasn't a welterweight fight no title will be on the line, very simple. Fact is, both fighters came within the welterweight limit therefore the commission can't get involved nor penalize anyone for any wrongdoing. If you have your own set of rules, enjoy and apply behind the comfort of your computer because, no offense, no one else will follow or care. A catchweight fight is a pretty much a fight where two teams negotiate a specific weight WITHIN THE DIVISION'S LIMIT. I'm sad to be currently informed that Pacquiao won the WBO welterweight title against Cotto and WBC light middleweight title against Concreto but was stripped off the Cormegan Trueweight Championship belt.

The DLH fight was a no brainier because of the money.

By Roach's own admission they never talk before meeting for the presser or training camp. Roach talked a lot during the Mayweather negotiation but nobody actually consulted him.

    Get a clue mofo.

Bull****. A welterweight fight is a fight with a weight limit of 147lbs... Not 143, not 145... 147lbs. A fight with a weight limit of 145 is a catchweight fight and should not be for any welterweight title, but the sanctioning bodies choose to allow it to be because they want that money.
