Not by any stretch, it just means something that happened before there was a cruiserweight division can happen again.

The idea that 190 pound fighters, ceteris paribus, have little or no chance against 250 pound fighters is largely a post hoc fallacy with with little or no direct evidence to support it.

Some propositions become widely believed because the evidence in their favor is so strong you'd have to be an idiot or a lunatic to deny it. And some - in fact many - gain this status through absolutely nothing more than repetition.
    *Never* underestimate this.

Nonsense. While it's far from clear what *exactly* makes for a good chin, there are only so many mechanisms that could conceivably contribute to it, and all would suggest that punch resistance does not scale with size as closely as punching power. (And I don't think the latter scales all that closely.)

If Jones bulks up to 190 plus by the age of 30 or younger, I see no reason whatsoever he's not a live underdog against Lewis.

    lewis kills him, man.

roy has the frame of a middleweight, for crying out. Lewis was a genuine superheavy with full set of elite skills.

This is coming down to frames now? Interesting move, Mr. Lakoff.

It would have shot him right up, but the reality is that Jones would be lucky to still be with us today had he fought Lewis.

Jones was never a MW "frame" lol. He admits he was coming in at 180 or higher in those fights, as early as Hopkins.

Jones was always a 180 to 190 pound fighter. The only thing that changed was how much he was willing to dehydrate for a weigh in.

If Jones were to beat Lennox Lewis it would be considered one of the greatest upsets in boxing. If not the greatest upset in boxing.

This is nonsensical. Ruiz was hand-picked for a one time deal for pete's sake.

It'd look like a fantastic, AGT win until the positive tests for PCP & horse steroids came back.
