i expect him to beat phillips, even if he's shot or old..

he's one of the best pure boxers in the sport and his family has done a lot 4 boxing, i wouldn't say he suks even if he lose.

I would be pretty shocked if Spinks loses in his hometown against a senior citizen. But then again who knows how the headcase is going to react to ditching his trainer less than a week before the fight.

Well, I don't expect him to lose, but it won't prove anything either. If he loses, he should definately retire in shame unless he was robbed again.

Spinks won and is an underrated boxer ... he got robbed and its messed up that it had to happen like that.

I thought that Phillips needed a knockout to win that he was so far behind. He didn't rally much ... he landed one solid punch here and there, didn't follow through with any combonations.

I can't believe that Phillips believes he won ...

If he loses then he's not the top Light Middleweight anymore.

My list is now something like this:

    1. Vernon Forrest
    2. Verno Phillips
    3. Oscar de la Hoa
    4. The guy that beat Karmazin
    5. Sergei Dzindiruk

Wow there are some ignorant assed haters in this thread.

Corey Spinks got robbed and you guys don't care, but you will ***** and moan about a close JMM - Pac fight, and blame the ref for hatton losing when he got KTFO.

This is part of the problem in boxing.

I care that was flat out robbery. The JMM-Pac fight was very close and could have gone either way...Spinks got ****ed.

I was one of those complaining about JMM-Pac, as correct scoring should have resulted in a close win for Marquez. This robbery is much, much worse, even though I give far less of a hoot about Spinks than about JMM - due to how completely out of sync with reality the scorecards were and the fact that it shouldn't really have been very close.
