Whyte is just a speedbump for Fury and it would be nothing more than a stay-busy fight. I understand and I don't mind the matchup, so long as the unification bout with the winner of AJ/Usyk II comes next. If Fury just fights bums from here on out (like Wilder did for 5 years), THEN i'd be pissed.

I'm honestly more interested to see who Wilder fights next - a bum for a quick confidence boost? or someone legitimately ranked in order to earn himself another title shot? His clock is ticking so I really hope he goes for broke and we see some fireworks in these last couple of years of his career. I hope he goes out with at least some legitimacy to his career, rather than as a cherry picking paper champion. I feel like that last fury fight did earn him a modicum of respect, and i hope he can carry that momentum forward and build on it. I love a good comeback story and to see him truly fight his way back would be a lot of fun. I don't think it'll happen, but it would be fun to see.
