this isnt a thread where im disputing roach's greatness as a trainer. he is obviously doing something right to produce such great wins for his stable of fighters.

but i dont know or understand what makes him a great trainer?

i mean some trainers are great at motivating fighters between rounds, some trainers are good at getting there fighters in perfect physical condition, some trainers are great tacticians, (which includes helping a fighter adjust a gameplan as the fight goes on).

is roach good at all these?

well, he sees a fighters flaws and tries to adjust them, while honing the fighters assets at the same time. He doesn't try to impose a certain style on a fighter, like Roger Mayweather or Buddy McGirt do.

I don't think Roach can make a good fighter out of a mediocre fighter. He needs a fighter with talent - just like Emmanuel Steward does. But he sure can make a great fighter out of a good fighter.

good at improving the aggressive side of the fighter, fighters under him have a complete offence, he is also the greatest tactics Trainer of all time in my opinion

Come on now, you talk up a trainer so much and can not even conjure up a sentence to describe his ascent to greatness..

when he first saw khan training he immediately know what's wrong... they are putting too much muscles on him. it's putting attention to the basics and the tiniest detail that will make you excel in whatever you do.

Roach is a good trainer, but is overrated. When i see his gym work it nothing spectacular in fact he probably slows down his top fighters because of his disease.

That was not the question, no one is disputing that, he has taken on more fighters after they have been world champions rather than developed them.

However the thread starter asked "what is fredde roach good at"?

"eveerything" is not the answer regardless of how much you want it to be.

As a die hard pac fan you should have more ability then to state just one single word.
