a few years ago I volunteered for USA boxing but never got to the point of judging fights. I sat ringside for the last fight after fulfilling my duties for the event and the fight was tight after 2 rounds heading into the last round. I thought the one kid won the round and the fight but 3 of the 5 judges saw it differently

Starting to ring true with Beterbiev vs Bivol.

Close competitive fight that could have gone either way is not the same as a highway robbery.

Exactly, which is precisely why Beterbiev's victory was a robbery.

You can easily find 7 rounds that Beterbiev won, so nope.

I couldn't care less, my initial sentiment stands. Close fights can still be robberies.

I agree with your sentiment. I think it's a dictionary perfect definition.

I only saw the last few rounds of and so didn't score. What I saw was Beterbiev a bit stronger at the end (again I only saw the last rounds), so I can't really say who won until I see the full fight, but it's to the point these days that anything that isn't an absolute blowout is a robbery....................and I don't think that's a good on boxing, every close fight is a robbery?

Close but clear winner. Like the Fury and Usyk fight. Had that decision been given to Fury it would have been a robbery .

On here the difference between a close fight and a robbery is how much the poster has lost on his bet,the bigger the loss the bigger the robbery the poster seems to portray .

I struggle to see how Bivol gets 7, near impossible if you ask me.
    Decision was very good

Close fights always have some calling robbery. It's been a part of boxing forever.
