The thread isn't about that. Read the OP again. Mayweather and Pacquiao were the two greatest to share a ring since people started purchasing televisions.

They’re the greatest names of the last 20 years, maybe.

Add their all time rankings and divide by two. It’s the lowest since TV.

Duran - Leonard edges it, despite the answer being based as much on form and circumstances of the fight, I think they might just be the two best to share a ring.

Robinson - Armstrong is second for me, I might take Robbo to beat Leonard, but probably pick to Duran to beat Armstrong.

They’re not better than Duran and Leonard

Better careers if you’re honest and objective. Leonard isn’t even in the discussion.

    Hi Buddy.
Your welcome, when Tunney and Greb met at William Muldoon's office for the signing for their first fight, just before Tunney left the room, Muldoon pulled him to one side and said " your way out of your class son " imagine how Gene must have felt hearing that from the commissioner of boxing, they were to meet sooner than Muldoon had anticipated, the next day Tunney was at his office, bruised and battered, with stitches above both eyes, depositing a bond for a return with Greb, I don't think many pundits realize how tough and resilient Gene was, Tunney tells that around the 12/13 round he was so weak from losing and more importantly swallowing his own blood, that a cornerman slipped a large dose of rum in the water bottle, Gene said for the next round he saw 2 Grebs ( imagine ) and felt violently sick ,
Tunney was more than a fancy dan, as he was called by some, he was a iron willed tough as nails boxer, who would give any of the champs a run for their money.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

Excellent info thanks.. On film hes pretty perfect to watch isn't he.. one of the most fundamentally sound fighters. He picked apart his opponent physically & mentally.. a very tactical mind.. eventually figured Greb out & then won the HW championship off another legit ATG. Two Grebs imagine that

    Ross vs Canzoneri (9 & 12)

If you just pull laughably bad rankings for Pac and Floyd out of your ass, this might make sense.

    Floyd>Pac>Duran>Ali>Leonard>Moore

    The rest were pre TV.
