I don't understand why bantamweight is even a choice here, if anything it is one of the more exciting divisions in the lower weight divisions (130 and below). I'd replace it with Jr flyweight (108) if you wanted a light division in the choices, which recently lost their long time unified Ring beltholder Teraji and Bomba Gonzalez both moving up to 112, Nontshinga losing and moving up to 112, the winner against Nontshinga Masamichi Yabuki talking about vacating and moving up as well. No unification in sight and half the belts vacant, and frankly 105 is more exciting than 108 right now. Thinking in brackets, for me 130 and below: As mentioned above I'd say junior flyweight (108) is the weakest right this moment, followed by super feather (130). 135-160: Welterweight and Middleweight in a very close competition for the weakest. 168-HW: Cruiserweight followed by Super middle are the weakest. Overall I'd say 147 or 160 as the weakest, followed by 108, 130, 200 then 168 in that order. Bridgerweight doesn't count because it would be the de facto weakest of them all if it did.
Middleweight has dropped off immensely since the Golovkin era guys all left town. 160 used to be the crown jewel of boxing.
I chose welterweight, it was a toss up between that and super middle. I think people voting middleweight are voting because it has historically been a top 3 division. There's 3 high level fights at middle (Janibek v Adames, Janibek v Sheeraz and Sheeraz v Adames, there's one at super middle (Canelo v Plant 2) and maybe 1 at welter (Boots v Stanionis) I suppose it depends what you would rather see.
It has at least one HOF level guy currently present. Can´t say the same about at least a couple of divisions; middleweight and welterweight come to mind.
MW and SMW seem bad. If you think about canelo, seems like basically every fight is comfortable for him, years ago there would be a bunch of dangerous or at least difficult fights there. At MW obviously Golovkin but there was also a more prime Saunders, Lemieux, Lee Then at SMW you'd have very dangerous or difficult guys for Canelo like Froch, Kessler, Groves, Ward, Jack, Degale, Bute
you're defo a sheeraz fanboy lol, he's not proved to be high level yet. And Adames is an extremely weak champion. Middleweight is atrocious. Alimkhanuly is the clear number 1, then it's all very meh. Super Middle isn't that good either, but at least Super middle has Alvarez, Munguia, M'billi, Derevyanchenko, Plant, Pacheco
Deffo not a Sheeraz fanboy, I can't wait to see him get his face splattered all over the canvas. I do think he beats Adames though and then we will see how Janibek is doing at the weight.
Usyk (the greatest fighter of this generation, and one of the greatest of all times, P4P number 1 currently) Fury (elite future Hall of famer), Joshua (future hall of famer), Dubois, Kabayel, Zhang, Bakole, Parker, Hrgovic. Definitely not one of the weakest
