There is a fairly obvious answer to that. TT is old school and fights whoever, whenever. He doesn't run and he doesn't throw fits, he gets in the ring and handles his business. Povetkin, on the other hand, was stripped of the mandatory status because he ducked the champion not once, but twice. I know Povetkin story and why he avoided Wlad, so I don't blame him, but I also don't blame Klitschko for going for TT. It's like when it's friday night and you got 2 bitches calling, you'll only pick up the phone on the one that won't make you jump through the hoops just to get to second base.
Pianetta was actually not bad. Now, granted he had a battle with cancer two years prior to their bout, but Pianetta is a solid B level southpaw. Considering that the only A level fighters in the division are Haye, Pulev, Solis and Povetkin (the last two are consistently in bad shape), Wlad didn't do too bad.
I think it's safe to say that people voting for Pianetta are the same people that were wondering what the heavyweight limit is, and what floored means.
