I measured 1.8 miles in my car and ran that in 11 minutes and 13 seconds. However there is a moderate hill on the way and a monsterous one on the way back. i'll have to measure a flat route next time I take the other road next to my house.
Man I just tried to run and I have been out of the ring for a while, I bet if I ran 2 miles it would take me like 15 minutes. I better get in better shape.
I've not run miles since I was 20 (broke hip) but I once came fifteenth in a three mile road race with a time of 14:57. My last mile was by far the slowest, but I don't have split times.
the fastest I've done it was around 12 minutes too training for a kung fu test when I was younger (about 13 years). But after that I ussually do it around 16-18 minutes, depends on how relaxed I decide to run it and how long has it been since I don't run. Right now I haven't run in about a month, and before that a few months.
Getting better even on second session, I'm aiming for under 6 minutes by the end of July. I'm going to mid distance run twice a week... once on a Mon/Tue and once on a Thurs/Fri 22nd May - 2 mile run in 14 Minutes 20 Seconds (7.10 per mile) 26th May - 2 mile run in 13 Minutes 45 Seconds (6.51 per mile)
I do four miles in just over half an hour without really pushing myself, some uphill, some down. I could get under 30mins if I was that bothered, never timed myself over 2 miles.
Haven't run under 3 miles for years. I would guess at my best it would be about 14 mins as my best 3.1 miles is 21:08.
I can now do from today oddly enough 3km in nine minuets.... and I was ****ing exhausted! Is that good? I don't know what that is in miles. The treadmill in the Gym don't show me miles for some reson.
