Junior Welterweight Julio Cesar Chavez Aaron Pryor Kostya Tszyu Dulio Loi Antonio Cervantes Had guys go through there like PBF Cotto Hatton Dela Hoya (Prime) Judah Second is Lightweight My 3 Favourite Guys in boxing today Manny Pacquiao Michael Katsidis Juan Diaz all at that weight Duran Armstrong Ike Williams Castillo Corralles PBF There my two Favourite weights. Also like Middleweight and Welterweight. Never been a fan of the bigger weights much.
I voted for 160, but I grew up watching Ali, and had the privledge of watching all the great fighers who fought between 126 and 147 in the 70's and 80's. Add in the way 147 is stacked at the moment, and it's hard to make a definitive choice.
Middleweight - or something close to it. The ideal combination of power and strength, but also speed and precision, without looking like bees buzzing around or huge freakshows Also the deepest division in history, with some of the most memorable fighters
Welterweight. I grew up with De La Hoya, Trinidad, Mosley, Quartey, and now there's Cotto, Margarito, Williams and more. And in the 80s there was Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns (Benitez, Cuevas too). And two ATGs, Pernell Whitaker and Roberto Duran, also had great fights at 147. I haven't seen footage of past greats, but I know that many people believe Sugar Ray Robinson's best weight was 147. Welters win!
