There are a number of round timers that are available to download on the net. Simply download them and burn them onto a cd.

Alternatively, I use a Gymboss Interval timer. Does everything you need and doesn't break the bank.

well, i'd try and have a couple heavy bags, at least one Thai bag
a couple of double end bags and a couple of speed bags

    a set of medicine balls

probably post some training programs up on a wall that kids can fallow

Yes, you can usually find them on ebay, but if you do a google search you should find a free download somewhere. If you can't find one, let me know as i'm pretty certain that I have a copy somewhere, and I could upload it somewhere if needs be.

i know everyone is talking about equipment but to answer your question, "what makes a good boxing gym",

i think the most important thing you need in the gym is a consistant team of coaches,

i am also a younger coach and at 35 yrs old, and after 9 yrs in the gym i helped open from scratch
i have to remind myself and remember that its about the fighters, not the coach,
its hard to keep that focus sometimes, because we all have egos,
if you keep that in mind you will do fine,
if you end up with a coach or coaches who get ego driven, or do not work well with your other coaches
and / or gets territorial, your job as a head coach is give them the talk, and if that dosent change anything
    "get rid of him"
a good gym has a fair, humble coach who will spot and address problems in the gym before they become bigger problems...thats my advice anyway.
