He outlanded Cotto overall, and in 9 of the 12 Rounds.

Cotto's victory had more to do with his fanbase, popularity, and the location of the fight than what he actually did in the ****ing ring.

I like him because I find his style entertaining.

He'd probably fight any WW not named Paul Williams(that one's for you NBA:lol:).

I think some of the reason why people like him may also be a little bit of a pity factor given what may or may not have happened in the Margarito fight.

Mostly...I just like his style of fighting(or at least the way he used to fight). He attacked the body mercilessly.

fight was 6 rounds a piece but the KD was the deciding factor. Cotto won by a point very close fight but the right man won.

Cotto did not win 6 rounds. I don't know which fight you were watching, but it definitely was not the Clottey-Cotto fight.

But **** it. Say what you want. You ***gots can continue this circle-jerk Cotto lovefest. If he grows the nuts to fight Paul, I will get the last laugh.

You probably would get the last laugh. There's a reason why no major player at WW wants anything to do with Paul.

    Doesn't talk ****.

    fights everyone.

    Does his best.

For some reason it took me a while to warm to him, I appreciate him though.

The only bad thing anyone can say about him is that he has looked more like a contender than a champion 147.

An exciting yet a very humble fighter. I still can remember the moment he greets and appreciate pac after losing the fight with blood all over his face. A warrior with a big heart.

Are you looking for reasons to hate him?

The guy is a class act, a warrior who gives everything.

Hard to hate? Cotto gets plenty of hate. Some of it probably in response to all the man-love he gets. The motivation and interest of some of Cotto's more intense fans seems to border on the homoerotic. Makes some of us uncomfortable at times.

True. It's hard to lose a fight when you have thousands of fans going berserk every time your gloves move. Cotto got that win though, IMV. Clottey gave it away.

Heart no way. He basically quit against Margo and Pacman. I am not talking about the points of stoppages, It was clear he mentally quit even before both those fights were stopped.

A 'warrior' would have stuck to the gameplan because it was working. What I mean is Cotto was hurting Pacman with his body attack and smart boxing, then Pac would smirk as if they were not affecting him. The two knockdowns took his heart away and he threw his game plan (the fight)away. He could have at least make the fight more competitive had he stuck to the game plan and not try to play the warrior that he is not.:-(

As a side note I think roach sets up fighters against Pacman by praising their warrior ability and praising them about their willingness to fight toe to toe with Pacman.

He (Roach) does this because he knows it plays right into Pacman's strength. Remember when roach said he wished JMM would fight Pacman aggressively for their second fight but he knew Nacho was too smart to let that happen. Because the way to beat Pacman is by counter punching because of Pac's aggressive style.

In other words, Roach eggs Pac's opponents on to fight the wrong fight. e.g. "Both these guys come to fight so you will see a good fight":deal
