Beterbiev vs Benevidez-Morrell winner would be the fight to make if no rematch happens in his next fight.
I could be totally wrong here but to me, without knowing too much, the division looks kinda lame after the top 3 or 4. Obviously David Benavidez against either guy is a fun and big fight, and these matchups are the natural progression of the division.
I actually dont want Beterbiev to move up or retire. He looked surprisingly good for his age and I think he can keep this up for at least a few more fights. His style and attributes is going to be an immense and amazing clash with Benavidez.
Rematch or Beterbiev to retire. I cannot see Beterbiev wanting to entertain a bout against Opetaia for example, a 25 pound weight jump is not surely in the plans of a nearly 40 yr old. So rematch with Bivol (with fair judging) is the way forward.
Rematch against Bivol or retirement, and after the rematch I suggest retirement, he will earn enough money to provide for himself and his family...
