He'll still be boxing's mercenary for hire trainer...bouncing around from fighter to fighter and leaving at the first sign of trouble. Just the kinda guy he is.

After watching Floyd work the pads with Hatton,i wonder what the purpose is in doing that 100 mile an hour stuff is all about. Sure it makes the trainer look real good, and its entertaining from a spectators perspective, but what relevance does that kind of training have when fighting a southpaw??

Floyd appears to have some fixed ideas about the best way to train his fighters, and he may get someone who fits in with that peculiar method who goes on to become another Floyd jnr,but its a long shot to say the least.

Floyd will be under closer scrutiny whenever he is in the corner after that last fight went horribly wrong for him and his charge. Most experienced coaches know that a guy with 50 fights under his belt aint going to suddenly change or behave like he is a changed fighter all of a sudden.

In the gym there is no significant pressure, and real changes can look like they have been succesfully made, but come fight night that prety much goes right out the window.

Im surprised however that Floyd put his "reputation" on the line by stating how he honestly thought the fight would play out on the night. We are all judged by what we say,and Floyd said a lot of things pre-fight that proved to be wrong and not even reasonably close.Saying Hatton didnt follow instructions is another way of saying training camp failed.
