I would give him a very good chance of beating Mayweather. Some people (mainly on the General tbh) seem to think it's a foregone conclusion and Floyd outpoints him :nono
I'd take Martinez. Floyd is one hell of a fighter but at 147 he's not done much in the greater scheme of things. At 158(?) against Martinez I think he's get beat.
Not many fights out there for him. Even Roach may not fancy that job. Mayweather -****ing forget it he won't go near him.
Don't take any fights below 160. Fight Pirog, Sylvester, and Sturm...unify the middleweight title. Or move up and challenge Bute.
Moving up :think For me he seems comfortable at MW and shouldn't move up for the sake of it but if he can't get the fights he wants at his optimum weight then why not? If he loses to Bute there's no shame and he's still got his MW title. Ideally I'd like him to stay at 160, maybe Frank can throw some money and we can get him over to the UK for Macklin :hey. That'd be an easy fight for Martinez if it ever happens.
Sturm if not then Zbik just to get it out of the way and bide time whilst pirog builds experience and a name

I know it's no boxers favourite option but going to Germany to fight Felix Sturm would be his best match that he could realistically get. Pacquaio or Mayweather won't fight him, there's no big name American to match him with and without that he won't draw much of a crowd in America (5,000 against his biggest name opponent in a place Gatti used to get 12,000 in). Sturm gets big crowds in Germany, 15,000 in his last fight, a WBA/WBC unification match should make it more appealing so there's be a payday in it for him. Sturm is a quality boxer but he has to be getting used to soft fights by now, he's not a knockout artist, Martinez should out slick him for the decision providing he gets decent judging. He could do the same thing for the IBF title, Sybastian Sylvester still has it as far as I know, he'd be an easier fight but he'd still have to go to Germany for it where Sylvester isn't that big so he'd be taking almost as much risk for less reward. Pirog is still pretty unknown so who outside boxings hardcore would watch it?
I don't see where the Pacquiao or Mayweather talk came from. Martinez isn't a PPV draw and he doesn't sell loads of tickets. He's got a legit title, but if they wanted to claim a title at another weight division, couldn't they just pick off one of the easier belt holders.
He's got THE legit title Ed, but I take your point. \if either Mayweather or Pac took another route to a middleweight belt (and it would be just a belt) then it would speak volumes.
