What next if Broner looks devastating against Malignaggi?

Would he drop to 140lb and pick up a trinket or stay at 147lb?

Would Floyd want him? - Risk is Floyd is getting older while it is delayed whilst Broner is getting better

Unless he improves a lot, I wouldn't put him in with any puncher after Malignaggi. A fight with Khan at 140 would be good for him, I think.

 

I don't like these guys who jump all over the place. You hurt your legacy while missing out on many champions.

At least fight a champion or two at each weight as you move up. That will build your profile and legacy and bank balance.

On the other hand at least he is brave with ambition and willing to find his level. You'd love to see someone like Burns in similar circumstances so we can talk about what we know of him rather than what we think.

 

If he comes through unscathed, than he'll probably get fed a guy like Judah while he waits for the Peterson/Matthysse vs Garcia winner later this year.

He's likely going to give Malignaggi a pasting but any true world class welterweight would do that right now, Paulie's an entertaining guy but he's one of the weakest champions in boxing right now (at least at the lower weights).

It all depends on where Golden Boy decide to take him, what fight would make the most money? Maybe a fight with Khan yeah or perhaps even one with Brook? Stranger things have happened (like Broner vs Rees!)

I think the Burns fight has gone now personally, Ricky says he's not moving up and Broner is unlikely to go back to 135lbs.

Sounds sadistic and usually I wouldn't say it, but Broner is such a ****, I can't wait to see him fall and learn a bit of humility. A guy who losses to Ponce De Leon isn't the second coming of anything. I would LOVE it if Paulie was the one to do it. Might be wishful thinking though.

Mayweather needs sellable fights. At the moment there is no big test for him short of another trip to 54. Mayweather - Broner would be huge but Broner simply isnt ready for it, physically or mentally. He still has a lot to prove.

I want to see Broner school burns, but wouldnt mind him going to 140, some good fights there.
