That's a fair comment but the level Froch is at he ain't gonna be fighting bums who get paid £300... He will have sparring partners earning that from him... I just think that the fights, exposure and money he wants Hatton will serve up a lot quicker and more consistantly than his existing promoter...Froch has got a World Title that is very credible but the exposure that he is getting beggars belief...A British WBC Champion of the World defending his title abroad and it ain't even on the box...:barf.... Sickening....:yep Hatton will not allow that to happen, if Froch goes with Hatton he will have Sky and HBO on tap with Hattons connections...:good
Yeah I agree, my last post kinda contradicted itself in a way. I guess I don't have much time for promoters, and don't see why they always seem to make a really big cut..... especially those that manage the fighters that they are promoting as well - what kind of ******ed fighter would sign up to that? Given a decent opportunity, I'd be managed by a relative to British/Euro level, then self managed, and I'd self promote from winning a world title - all the while building myself a fan base..... what Hatton/Lewis/Calzaghe did wasn't by accident after all - they weren't guided by promoters before becoming stars overnight. I'm aware that not a lot of fighters are particularly business minded and I guess that's fair enough.... but still, I wouldn't want anyone making money from me/my name.
