Olu, I take it you're now trolling ?

This has **** all to do with Tank.

I have already stated that this version of Loma would lose to Tank.

Wasn't your school motto " Bone et Fidelis."

    Be good and faithful.

    Mine was simpler...Veritas.
    Truth

The fact that you resort to troll posts indicates to me that you know the truth.

It even appears in the Good Book:

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free"
    John 8:32

The truth can set you free, Olu.

Just say it quietly to yourself...Loma won.

Loma lost. So let it be written so let it be done. 1,000 years from now the record books will show on 20th May 2023 Devin Haney defeated Vassily Lomachenko in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino by unanimous decision.

    Yes.

    That is true.

But even that will still not make it so.

Do you think in Scandinavia, France, Italy, Baltics, Spain, Portugal, Balkans etc boxing has any relevance whatsoever? I kind of doubt it, the only places where I see boxing having some popularity is Germany and probably Ukraine due to Klitschkos, Loma, Usyk etc...

Maybe Russia as well but that's more of a niche sport in a big country thing.

It does that’s the reality. You may not like it but that is what it is a Haney win.

We have different concepts of reality, Olu.

    You might have read 1984.

    Does 2 + 2 ever equal 5 ?

In business it called synergy when you make 2+2= 5 as you extract added value.

Paulie is 100% on the money. Perfect description of the ones defending the Haney decision, Scumbags. Look at the number one scumbag on this thread running his big mouth defending the decision. Scumbag who decided the winner before seeing the fright. From a mud hut no less.

We're not talking metaphors here, Olu, or cute motivational catchphrases.

Or maybe you haven't read Orwell ?

No big deal if you haven't.

There are loads of other examples of the official records being at odds with reality.

For centuries, the Catholic Church declared the earth to be the centre of the universe.

That did not make it so,

Hardly the same thing is it. We are talking facts Haney. You are entitled to your opinion not your own alter facts or what are known as lies.

    Possibly.

This version of Loma probably doesn't have what it takes to beat Tank at this stage.

Still, Haney is more skilled than Tank.

Tank has a better chin and more power.

It's a fight that would still generate a lo of interest.

“ From a mud hut no less” such a racist charged comment because you obviously think all Africans live in mud huts. Screw you and Paulie. Before the fight my prediction was a close fight that. Could go either way.

The problem for Tank against Haney is that Tank may not be able to stop Haney like he did Rolly and Ryan. If Haney is too agressive though, maybe he could get caught. Like if Haney fights Tank like he did Loma he could get hurt. Loma throw the kitchen sink at Haney in the 10th and 11th rounds but he still couldn't hurt him. Tank with one shot can put you out. If Haney fought Tank I think it would be smart to fight Tank like he did Kambosos, stay on the outside, jab and use his reach advantage.

    Exactly the same thing, Olu.

The guardians of "the truth" make a ruling on a question.

And that becomes the official narrative.

In one case, those guardians are the church, ruling on a question of cosmology

In the other case, those guardians are the judges, ruling on a question of pugilism.

In both cases, the guardians have made a ruling and that is, as you pointed out, what the record will show.

And in neither case does the powers that be giving their ruling, make their ruling necessarily true.

    ???

Not sure what this bit means.

There are no facts at stake here, Olu.
    Opinions.

If I wanted facts, I could weigh Loma and state with absolute certainty to the nearest kg or lb, what his weight was.
That would be dealing in facts.

If three judges watched a close fight and rendered a judgment, that would be an opinion.

The only FACT in this instance is what opinion they did indeed render.

When Lewis faced Holyfield in their first fight, It is a FACtT that the official result according to the duly appointed judges, was a DRAW

But, like any other such verdict that ends up as being the official record, that does not necessarily make it so.

In fact, most believe that the judges in Lennox-Evander 1, go it wrong.

Your point was that the record will show that Haney won.

    I agreed.

But, I also pointed out that it being recorded as such, does no make it so.

Any more than the official result of Lewis - Holy 1 reflects what really happened.
