What rating as a fighter does Bute get?

    I personally don't like to rate fighters as "A+" kinda like I don't like throwing around the word "ATG" too often... I keep that for the very best.

    Joe would only be an A for me... And perhaps slightly less on a grand scale of comparing him to other ATG's.

    Certainly no Roy Jones, Whitaker, or Floyd (the best of the last 3 gens)... Hard to put him on the same level as a B-Hop in his prime even.

    Oh no, my little linguistic misinterpreter, I never said that Andrade would school Bute. I said Andrade would pressure Bute and work his body and stop him late, as Bute doesn't like pressure or workrate.

    How you recieved 'schooling' out of 'pressure and KTFO while being behind on the cards' is quite interesting.:good

    I doubt he will ever be ready for Mikkel Kessler, if the fought I would place a large bet on Kessler, he is just a level up.

    Well your rigourous scale is hard to follow. But if Joe is an A, Kessler an A-, I would rate Bute as a B+ then.

    How is **** ****er Bute, just one level below the Viking Warrior? He's not even in the same class.

    Froch, Inkin and the rest would annihilate Bute, much less Kessler, a real elite fighter.

    No, I'm not high, I'm just very aware and in touch with humanity. Froch would dispose of that fraud within 5 rounds, like English Fire reigning over a Plow Operator.:lol:

    So you ARE trolling, or being serious? It's hard to tell, sometimes.

    But I agree, Bute IS a few levels below Kessler.

    But has 21 fights only, not too much fights to be considered A or B and certainly hasn't face yet a great opponent with a perfect record. Not saying he is bad but is too soon to say he is A or B, he is doing great things with his career, only time will tell, but if he fights either Kessler or Joe Calzaghe I don't give him any chance at all to win. I'll say he is a C fighter on his way up, for a guy that debuted in 2003 he is doing great.

    B - Calzaghe is A, Kessler is A - or B + only judged by resume.. They'd both be higher if it was skill.

    That's for you to decide mate, sometimes it comes in half/half like my favourite creamer, sometimes I am totally serious.

    Exactly, what is the big deal for everybody to admit that this will always be the case? Kessler is an elite fighter in the current sport, Bute is rump roast.

    Bute would give Kessler a 50/50 fight right now...and you know why ? Because Bute would beat every fighter that Kessler beat to this day !!!

    I would rate Bute as a B or B+. I voted B+ because thats how good I think he can/will be.

    Calzaghe is A or maybe even A+. I actually think that Calzaghe is just as good a fighter today than he was in his physical prime. I was very impressed by him in the Kessler fight where he showed alot of tactical skill and the abillity to change tempo etc. His speed and power may be slightly less impressive now than 5 years ago - but he is still phenomenal and a more seasoned fighter today.

    Kessler is A or A- and if he gets a decent management and the fights he deserves he has the potential to be solid A.

    Mundine is B- and I dont think he can get any higher than this.
    Froch, Inkin, Andrade, Lacy are all C+.
