And could Bute not be enticed to Australia? Mundine has a lot of $$$ behind him... And what if both wanted to stage the unifcation on US soil? Never in a million years?
Mundine thoroughley dominated Hamdan, who while not winning rounds, showed a lot of heart in each round (sometimes looking hurt, only to come back to throw more punches).
Once Calzaghe vacates and Mundine's belt can be unified, and once Mundine beats at least 2 fighters in the Top 10...sure...why not...make it on an undercard in Las Vegas for a massive fight like Mayweather v. Cotto. Don't see why Bute would travel to Australia. Bute sells 14,000 already in Montreal. Does Choc sell more? So much more that home advantage is worth being given away? Bute ain't greedy.
Like I said before...Mundine will never want to fight Bute...in Montreal...in Australia...on the moon, etc...
Mundine took on Kessler, he lost. But anybody with eyes can see that he has a bit of guts. I see no reason why he wouldnt want a fight with Bute.
Well, if Amsterdam had Calzaghe as A+, he'd have to have Kessler as an A and then he'd have to have Bute as a B:scaredas: :verysad
risk/reward, I guess. Mundine can fight fighters like Green for a lot of money. Unless he really has to, he won't fight Bute just for the hell of it. Mundine fought Kessler for a shot at Kessler's belt; he didn't fight Kessler with the belt around his waist...
I think it is pretty much just speculation tbh. He has not shown anything to show me he wouldnt be up for a unification after beating somebody like green. When he would be a decent name in the USA.
Why would he be a name in the USA after beating (Danny) Green? Mundine fought Kessler for a shot at Kessler's belt; he didn't fight Kessler with the belt around his waist...
Frankly I could say the same thing about Bute with his next choice of opponent that he just wants to keep his belt. But I see no reason why the wouldnt want to fight each other if neither of them end up in a ring with Kessler before hand.
