I don't think public scorecards after each round would make that much of a difference and I don't like how it would probably affect fights.

BUT... I do think scorecards should be scanned and posted for public viewing - posting them on Boxrec would be easy. Again, I doubt it would really change anything, but it would make poor officiating that much more transparent and wouldn't affect the flow of the fight.

Weigh in and fight night weights range should be the same. Not weighing for the maximum on weigh in then ballooning over the supposed weight range for that division. If you're welterweight, you should be in the welterweight weight come fight night not Middleweight. :hat

Apparently there are health issues from same-day weigh ins. Boxers will still dehydrate to make the weight, but don't have a chance to rehydrate, so they are boxing in a really bad condition.

I think a limit to how much you increase your weight would make sense. Still have weigh ins the day before, and also have a weigh in just before the fight. Allow boxers to be 5% heavier the second time around. (So a cruiser could be 210 pounds on fight night)

That way we wouldn't have fights where one boxer is 10-15 pounds heavier just because their body rehydrates better. But we also avoid the health risks of just having a same-day weigh in.

    really good idea
maybe headgears will further enlength careers of boxers and prevent tragedies. after all , the bareknuckle era in boxing has ended long ago , so , if gloves and mouthpieces and wraps below the gloves are mandatory , maybe headgears and ballshields will also be a good idea.
does anyone has any objection to ballshields ?

there are both good and bad in your proposal :
the good is that no one will damage his health to make weight.
the bad is - just ask the cruiserweights , they will be the real losers from that idea that crossed my mind also.
BUT , if the involving factors accept your idea AND make a new SHW division like some propose that its lower limit is 220 or somewhere from 220-230 , then , your idea is good.
i really think that people that can't weigh 220 or below when they're trim and fit and didn't take steroides and GH are big enough to enable them to fight anyone , because the 250 and above guys are so heavy that even if they're strong enough to move quick , such movements will injure them - it is called structural strength. so don't worry too much about size differences from a certain level and above.
i bet that under these conditions guys like tua , kirk johnson , oliver mccall will stay trim enough to make that 220 or 225 or 230 limit , so they can fight guys that are only very big and not huge.
if they prefer to stay at a shw that is above 220 , it's their problem , and they will pay for the steroids and gh they took not only with their health , but also with their careers. taking steroids and gh is no so smart in boxing , even if it was legal!

perhaps a sensor, placed by the governing body in each fighters glove that could tell you if he hit his opponent and how hard perhaps?

may help scoring if this could be relayed in real time to fans and judges.

I would love to see small headgear for pro fights implemented to avoid a great match-up stopped due to incidental headbutts.

The judges to provide written evidence after the fight for the reasoning they scored the fight the way they did..... its about time they were held accountable ...

    15 rounds for tittle fights

and a rule that a fighter can only come into fight no more than 4 pounds heavier than the agreed fighting weight or go back to same day weigh-ins

    no standing 8 counts
