What should Roy have done after beating Ruiz?

    Stayed at heavy. If no lucrative fights delveloped, retire and talk smack the rest of your life on how nobody beat you. That DQ des not count as a legit loss in my book. Hind sight is 20/20. Wish Roy would retire now. Tired of seeing him getting brutally knocked out.

    Chris Byrd would have made the most sense. A small heavyweight against a cruiserweight.
    A winnable fight for Jones and the money would have been good.

    :deal Tarver was one of his best victories. He could try defending the the title, but honestly HW was all wrong for this guy look at his frame

    I say go down, beat Tarver's ass, **** off on the rematch Leonard style. Had he retired people would have accused him of ducking Tarver too.

    either that or fight Byrd, if he won he woulda been in the top 3 HWs.

    Unification fight with Byrd would have been good.. But Byrd had some skills so Jones wasn't going to risk that fight. After Ruiz there wasn't anybody left to handpick really so he had no choice but to vacate the belt.
