Stay active, stay safe (health wise and physically speaking) in between fights, drop the drama bs and just train to win. Head down and grind. Move up to 140 and kick it off
He's a god awful boxer, just relying on his power and explosive punches which might work well on a stationary opponent but not against someone with lateral movement as evidenced in the Kambosos fight. I swear I've never seen someone so highly rated with no ability to setup his shots over the long term and that farce of shoulder roll, someone tell the nincompoop that he hasn't got a slick bone in his body eating rights like that.
use his legs more. they are very quick and gives him an advantage in spacing over most fighters he will face. use a real defensive stance, with an actual guard. that millisecond it takes for him to bring his gloves up to block is all the time an elite with timing needs. figure out what the high percentage plays are for the opponent and work off that.that goes to a lack of quality coaching.
He needs a new trainer. His dad took him to the promise land, but feeding Teo crap about him winning the rounds that he wasnt, was terrible. Maybe Fimo can acquire someone who can fine tune his skills and teach him to keep his damn hands up more often. He's got the talent, and hasnt reached his prime yet so with the right guidance he can definitely bounce back in a big way.
He doesn't have the dexterity or reflexes to pull off the shoulder roll against better competition. He needs to utilize a higher guard (since his defensive reflexes aren't great) where he parries, blocks, and catches. Also needs to move his head better. He's a stiff fighter right now who relies too much on explosive athleticism. Doesn't set up shots well on the front foot. And there's too much of a "tell" when he's going to fire the right hand after the jab. Based on his current skillset, he's going to have a ton of trouble against bigger guys at 140. And without a lot of skill improvement, once his athleticism declines, he's in big trouble.
he would have had more success if he knew how to cut off the ring and trap his opponent on the ropes.
