Golovkin is not the only fighter supposedly bending over backwards to get people to fight him. That's the price that fighters who dare to be great and are confident pay. Mayweather moved up in weight and took considerably less against Oscar. Hopkins moved down and took considerably less to fight Oscar. Canelo took considerably less against Mayweather and moved down to a CW. Canelo took considerably less against Cotto and allowed Cotto to dictate almost all the terms. Golovkin missed an opportunity to have a top name on his resume because he didn't want to move up to 168 to fight Ward, instead demanded a CW of 164. Golovkin may miss an opportunity to fight Canelo because 8, 10, and 15 million dollars haven't been enough. Golovkin is pushing 35 and if he wants to leave a legacy behind worth talking he needs to bend over a little more because at this rate his career is staying pretty stale.
El Pollo fans do not want him to fight Golovkin. El Pollo gave up his title rather than fight Golovkin, El Pollo had his reasons, he knew he would get knocked out. Fight should be called Man Vs. Chicken...................
Ha3x I take you are a fan of GGG. I'm not a hater but most time has been quiet critical of the direction of his career. Canelo is more of a diva in this case, but I also believe he is more than paid his due playing second to both Cotto and Mayweather. I know that many believe that none of oscar's offers is genuine. But I beg to differ, I thought the offers were at least conmunicated to Loefer's side, or else Loefler could have just openly call Oscar bullcrap, and with todays social media, the whole thing will go viral and there is no way Canelo side can defend that. I think both sides are to be blamed in this situation. I could be wrong for believing there is an offer, but if it's true than GGG is a diva as well for holding out the fight asking for more.
You put it best 0 legacy defining fights, every single fight he's been in he's suppose to win. But he wants more than Cotto.
