I would love that to happen but he already made Povetkin, the IBF mandatory, wait for the WBO Mandatory, Thompson. The IBF would likely strip him of the belt & we'd be back to square one with unity of the belts. Not worth it IMO and who the **** is David Haye to stand in the way? He's beaten exactly 1 Heavyweight, Bonin, who was cherry picked to create hype about this loudmouth.
Precisely. Let Haye get one of the other belts if he wants to fight so badly. Then Wladimir can kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak. He can KO Haye & pick up a belt along the way. Haye would get very little of the purse if he fought Wladimir tomorrow since he's not a name in the states or anywhere other than Britain. If Haye had a belt of his own he'd get a much larger slice of the pie.
I'd like to know what 4 morons think Klitschko should drop the belts? I meant to click the public votes button but I forgot. :-(
I picked Povetkin because its a fight I've been interested in for a while, since Povetkin first arrived on the scene, and it ties in perfectly while Haye fights somebody in November. Then we can go down that route.
they must rather watch a fight with a good chance of been fight of the year! instead of a complete snore fest like klits last two fights, klits a boring standing jab fighter where haye has "he who dares" atitute , evreyone knows wlad should fight his mandatorys before haye and haye should get a belt first and build up the fight to be epic but you cant blame people for wanting to see a great fight!
that was to boring of a fight, even u admited there that u thought it was going to be a snore fest gives u a feeling on what his next mandatory fights will be like the late rounds saved the fight! other than that! a fight with haye has the oppertunity to look so much better than that and fans of heavyweight divison deserve a fight against the undisputed cruiserweight champ and the heavyweight champ! but ofcourse like i said get haye a belt and a popular name to fight first!
Povetkin, then fight Haye, if Haye can be impressive like people assume he will be. If Haye loses, or looks less than spectacular with all that added weight, then Wlad ought to face Samuel Peter (the most deserving challenger).
I think Povetkin would be a tough fight for Klitschko too ... because of his energy and high workrate ... I don't know about his chin though ... His handlers might know something that everyone else doesn't know ... I personally think Wlad should retire ...
It was an exciting fight, plenty of action & Tony did better than expected but still, the unified IBF, WBO, IBO Heavyweight Champion of the World-----------------Dr. Steelhammer Wladimir Klitschko!!!!
That would be a massive card for GBP to debut in the UK. We could have those two fights, and some good up and coming talent from asia, europe and the US fighting each other, instead of padding their respective records with bums
