I don't know what Floyd taught Hatton, because it sure looked like Ricky was completely absent of anything representing tactical boxing skills. Floyd ignored the most basic of boxing skills and perhaps the most important element of being a quality trainer. Hatton never kept his hands up in guard position properly, at any point in the fight. Ricky's hands were constantly at his ribcage and Pacquiao knocked him out with a textbook southpaw right jab-left hook combo.
