well agree to disagree. we'll see what happens if he takes a holyfield fight or someother fight as to whether tyson's gonna get embarassed by a b level guy. i think he won't get embarassed and if he can show good form at least in spurts in his fights 3 and 4 years ago i don't see why he cannot get at least close to that level now with a trainig camp. a lot of his hand speed and most of his reflexes imo were intact. btw, a guy with very questionable heart/fire, briggs, just held a belt in the current great division AND i'm not saying that tyson can ever hold a belt at this state i'm just stating it as to you're point about "fire." also btw, the guy's name was ettiene and you must be pretty new to following the game if you don't know it -- he fought some good fights and was pretty well rated in the late 90s very early 2000s before shooting up a check cashing joint after he realized he'd never be champ.

He had to spend either 48 or 72 hours in jail or something, he did get like 7 years probation for the drug charges though. On ESPN they said his ex wives and girlfriends spoke so well of him it really influenced the courts decision to give him less time and let him off with such a light sentence, as long he dont **** up on his probation he should be fine.

A lot of us are questioning Mike's desire, that's he's doing it for the money (and he is), but Holyfield is actually the one guy that would probably instill desire in Tyson and make him eager to get in there. I'm not saying were going to see the 80's version of Tyson as far as dedication and fierceness, but the fact he hates Holyfield will probably give him the motivation to take things seriously and work hard in the gym.

I'm sure he wouldn't want to lose three times in a row to Headbut Holyfield

Tyson and Rooney will never reunite. If it hasn't happened by now - it's not going to happen any time in the near future. However - Holyfield and Tyson is still a fight that would sell. They could fight ten times and sell it out every time. Say what you want - but it's true.

Heres the funny thing about that, Holyfield was asked during an interview who boxer he disliked the most coming into the ring he said he hated Lennox Lewis and had nothing bad to say about Tyson, which is kinda weird seeing that the guy bit off half one ear and a little bit off the other. Tyson does seem to have the most hate for Holyfield for some reason, I think because Holyfield said In a news article before there fight he would never fight a convicted ******.

also all this talk about "bad attention" or that holy and tyson continuing fighting is gonna bring down boxing is a joke. ex champs have been coming back since the begining of the fight game, and somehow boxing has survived. now if a holy/tyson fight is billed as a "quasi" titile fight than that would be ridiculous. but most people have enough brain cells to see it as what it is - guys "trying" to entertain and capitalize on past fame and perhaps settle some grudges. if people want to shell out money to see it (i probably wouln't spend more than 5 bucks), than that's their business. anybody who thinks its a meaningful fight in the HW division isn't a fan anyway, so what's the difference. the real problems for boxing is the all too frequent corrupt decisions and other goings on that turn people off.

Well there's 2 good reasons to believe that Holyfield never actually said that - I think it was just bull**** generated by camp Tyson to make their man mad, and it worked too.

As for Holyfield hating Lewis, of course he did - Lewis embarrassed him twice and never succumbed to his head-butting **** like so many others did :yep

I never knew that Punisher. Why does he hate Lewis so much? He seems like an alright guy from what I have seen.

Most of us on here probably see it for what it is and it's what you said, two guys way past their prime trying to cash out while they still can. Anyone that doesn't see that and thinks it's an actual meaningful fight...it's their problem hahaha
