Personally thought the cards were a bit close and rather kind to Maidana.

I counted the point being deducted as well.

    Khan - Maidana

    1) 10-8
    2) 10-9
    3) 9-10
    4) 10-9
    5) 10-8
    6) 9-10
    7) 9-10
    8.) 10-9
    9) 10-9
    10) 9-10
    11) 10-9
    12) 9-10

    115-111

I read some of the comments on here during the fight and some couldn't score it out of sheer excitement. I've just downloaded the fight and will watch it again, and score it again but that was my attempt to remain impartial during a rollercoaster.

Wife wasn't happy as I started screaming "jab" "uppercut" "run ya *****" during the 10th round  :yep

I didnt score it but Khan clearly won the fight. I was screaming the same **** as you in the 10th.

Didn't score it at the time but after rewatching and scoring the fight properly, I have it 113-113 even (with it being 113-112 to Khan if you took a point off when Joe Cortez did)

Rnd 1 - 10-8 Khan (10-8 big Khan knockdown, Maidana lucky to be saved by the bell)
Rnd 2 - 10-9 Khan (domination again from Khan. not quite a 10-8 because Maidana wasn't really hurt)
Rnd 3 - 9-10 Maidana (could have been a Khan round but most likely Maidana. Did the better work and turned it to his style fight)
Rnd 4 - 9-10 Maidana (Khan was better than last round but Maidana just landed the better shots and forced the fight again)
Rnd 5 - 10-9 Khan (10-8 possibly with harsh point taken off)
Rnd 6 - 10-9 Khan (Khan outboxes Maidana and lands more shots but Maidana has him hurt and retreating a few times)
Rnd 7 - 9-10 Maidana (best round so far for Maidana. Dominant round constantly backing up Khan)
Rnd 8 - 10-9 Khan (great comeback round for Khan. Won the round easily)
Rnd 9 - 10-9 Khan (another easy round for Khan. Maidana stalking but not landing and getting caught himself)
Rnd 10 - 8-10 Maidana (Khan all over the place for the last 2 minutes and badly hurt)
Rnd 11 - 9-10 Maidana (Maidana dominated mostly but Khan got his legs back)
Rnd 12 - 9-10 Maidana (close and Khan finished stronger but Maidana forced the pace of the round and mostly outlanded)

113-113 even (6 rounds each, two 10-8 rounds either way)

If you were scoring the fight pro-Khan, you could have had it 116-110. Pro-Maidana could have taken it 114-112.

    Khan's clear rounds: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9
    Maidana's clear rounds: 7, 10, 11, 12
Close rounds could go either way: 3, 4

Just my opinions of course but I think the judges scorecards were pretty much spot on with Khan deserving the win overall.

Great fight that Khan could've easily won at the end of the first round, where Maidana could have won in the 10th. If it's a 15 rounder then Maidana probably takes it

will score later felt at the time youd be kind to maidana to give him 1 of the first 6 and then add in the knockdown and the point off its gives you a fairly wide decision for khan , hell even if you give maidana the last 6 he still loses

I was too pissed to score it if I'm honest.

I though khan was winning handily going into the last mind.

i'd give it 7-5 to Khan so with the knockdown he definately won it. did not agree with the point deduction as a fighter should receive a warning first and cortez did not need to get involved directly in the outcome of this scrap. anyway i thought this geezer was pensioned off.
firm but fair......more like senile and pedantic.

113-113 although I did score round 11 to Maidana which everyone else seemed to score to Khan. I was probably influenced too much by the way Khan was constantly holding and looking up at the clock.

Anyway what a great fight. I hope they have a rematch. Unless Khan wants to fight the Bradley - Alexander winner.

Didnt score it but thought Khan was much further ahead than reflected on the scorecards i thought he should have allowed himself a knee in the tenth possibly knowing he was miles ahead but by the looks of things its good he didnt

I think the thing with round 11 is that because round 10 was so dominant for Maidana, it made it look like Khan was better than he actually was in the next round. Judging the round as a whole, Maidana was still mostly on top and did the better work in the 3 minutes in my opinion.

Another thing was that when Maidana had a point deducted Cortez said "first warning" then paused then took a point. That's very weird. And he didn't once take a point from Khan for holding.
