Who is Gavin Rees and Bradley Pryce with now? I hope they are in the ring again soon, as both still have a lot to offer.

As grant says, I did indeed spar Tony and he's absolute class. Should have made it. Real shame.

Gary might well end up the next big welsh trainer. Great amateur exp, trained at many different pro gyms with many trainers and has a good attitude.

From my viewpoint, it had little at all to do with Joe Calzaghe anyway. I could be wrong, but it appeared he was just the "face".
Enzo was more or less the backbone of it, and as much as I like Enzo as a person, he's just too random and emotional about things to cut it in such a ruthless business. Without being disrespectful, he's just not savvy enough.
Also, he had seriously diminishing interest in the sport since Joe retired from boxing. It's no coincidence that Maccarinelli, Cleverly, Hope, Todd, etc felt they would be better off elsewhere.

Having a music recording studio built into his gym seemed to be Enzo's primary interest and the boxing a distant second. I'm no promoter, but I understand it's a very tough business that requires 110% attention and focus. Enzo just didn't seem to have the heart to put what was required into it, and was more inclined to follow his passions in music.

When a show fails to sell tickets, you don't go on local radio radio two days before the show to hype it up. You start "promoting" the instant you have the date made. Months of effort, not just a couple of days at the last minute.

I'm sad it didn't happen for the Calzaghes, as it could have been good for Welsh boxing and British boxing as a whole. But alas it always appeared to be doomed for failure.

As above ^^^^ says he didn't try IMO. He could of made a go of it but he dipped his toe in and didn't like it or couldn't be asked with it. Plus Joe's not cut out for man management as i get impression if you have a problem with him or his work he gets pissed off and acts up. I think it's better he jacked it in now rather then down the line when he could have spent a hell of a lot more £££.

Joe seems selfish type guy and that's not a dig it's just his personality he likes to be main man and if people can't reach his level he ain't interested.

Well his first promotional venture against Jones Jr earned him the biggest purse of his career so it wasn't a complete disaster. If he was to continue fighting, self promotion/co promotion would've been very profitable for him.

Now he's retired I feel he would enjoy promoting big events with huge stars but starting from the bottom is hard hard work and comes without the limelight Calzaghe obviously craves. Dont think he realised how dificult a job it is.

Paul Streford was behind Calzaghe Promotions. He is currently in court over Wayne Rooney's alleged unpaid commission to his previous promotions company. I also know that he has not paid for the video production that was done at the "Boys Are Back In Town" promotion in August last year and that a court hearing regarding that will take place in April.

Yes, A DVD was made of the show but never made available to the public. As I personally made the DVD, I would like to get paid for my work. But that's my problem.
