Both guys are sitting at roughly top 40 territory. A win over the other would put them in top 30 territory. Still, since Floyd is the naturally bigger man who's been in fewer fights and wars, I would give him a little less credit than I'd give Pacquiao, the same as I tend to give a little more credit to Pacquiao for beating their common opponents despite being the smaller man. Bigger men are supposed to beat smaller men so Floyd has everything going for him and should be a 3 to 1 favorite going into this fight.
IMO, Pacquiao is already greater than Floyd all-time, plain and simple. Whether or not he's better than Floyd remains to be seen tomorrow. But even if he loses, I'll still rank him higher in terms of 'greatness'.
A win over Mayweather is not bigger then his win over Morales and Barrera. But its up there for sure.
A loss, IMO, only matters if they lost to every elite fighter they stepped up to. There's a big difference in fighting the best and beating the best. Anyone can fight the best...
Delusional. Pac has fought Nobody outside of guys he fought multiple times. Please, you never heard of 3/4 of the dudes on his resume.
after being handicapped with 14 times drug testing with a test very close to the fight, pac will have a higher win legacy than the man cleaning up the sport
It would put him in the top 20 for me, It won't damage his legacy much but will add a great deal. Floyd on the other hand it only adds a little if he wins, fight should have happened 5 years ago and like it or not the majority blame Floyd for it not happening so many will say " he waited for Pac to get old" and not give the win that much credit. On the other hand if Floyd is beaten his legacy is in tatters, People will say "He never wanted it and this is why it never happened years ago" People will also question a lot of other fights Floyd never took like Williams, Margarito, prime Mosley ect. Basically Manny will be a legend in people's eyes win or lose, Floyd in the eyes of casual fans will be a cherry picking fraud if he looses.
