Similar gameplan to what Oscar had, but with more movement.

Force Floyd to the ropes with pressure, flurry, move out. He has to hit hard and fast, and move out before Floyd counters. If he manages to build up an early lead, he might make Floyd engage more, which will leave him more vulnerable defensively. That's when his chances to hurt Mayweather will come.

Manny pacquiao should just sit back on the ropes and force floyd to come to him. I personally think hes fast enough to counter mayweather.

Roach stated that if MW sits on the ropes and shoulder rolls they will hit everything he gives them ..I beleive they will be on MW from rd 1 !

I think Paul Williams' trainers comments about how Paul would target the top half of Floyd's head should they ever fight..

Floyd hides his chin very well.. so it Pauls trainer and Freddies comments about hittin what is available make sense...

If u can get to his chin or face coz his shoulde ris in the way bust floyd to the forehead and around the temple....

bust him in the shoulder.. take every shot u can

I'm sure Roach will "bring the heat" to Floyd. He can't let Floyd "fight" his fight on the back foot. Manny has got to press the action similiar to what he did to Cotto. Make him "fight" your fight. That heat that Manny has brought in his last couple of outings will give floyd problems. He can't fight Floyd like Marquez did. You can't "wait in the pockets" with Floyd. U got to give him hell.

That's great and all, but PBF is a better inside fighter than Pac. Pac needs to get PBF to move forward.

If I were Roach I'd be planning on fighting a "safe" and "boring" fight. Don't try to beat Mayweather. Make Mayweather try to beat you. Let him chase, don't chase him. When he's close-open up like a son of a *****. After last night, I don't think PBF can hurt Pac. Let him try. And most importantly...FIGHT DIRTY! Do as much as you can get away with to rattle Floyd. Throw a couple below the belt, lead with your head a bit. Give up a point to get under Floyd's skin. These tactics make even the safest of boxers get off their bicycles to stand and trade in the name of Machismo. This may be the only way to get Mayweather to engage. Otherwise it could be Mayweather v. Marquez all over again (though not quite so lopsided).

for me its mannys gameplan and plan b and plan c
becoz u know floyd is gonna box and box and ox for 12 rounds o loose shots no wasted punches no gaping holes in his defence its a tough one but for me (manny and his achivements are those of greatness ) but floyd is on another level when it comes to boxing , hell just box allnight
hell be dificult to hit and punish when u miss

    Good article...your answer is within.

    Basically, in a nutshell...

Roach said the game plan against Mayweather is obvious, catch him if you can.
“Mayweather is a very defensive fighter,” Roach said. “He doesn’t like to engage much. You have to pressure him. I think we have the hand speed to do that. We’d have to set traps for him and fight every minute of every round. I hear he [trains like] a machine too. I’d like to see who lasts longer.”
Roach also feels that with the chin Pacquiao showed against Cotto, that forcing the action against the softer hitting Mayweather won’t present a risk.
“Floyd can’t break a nail, he hurts his hands all the time,” Roach said. “He can’t knock Manny Pacquiao out

:deal He needs to make the man trade with him. If that means sitting on the ropes an offering mayweather free shots like he did with cotto, so be it.
