What would another loss mean for AJ & Matchroom?

If Ruiz beats Joshua again, where does that leave AJ & Eddie?

 

AJ if he wants it still the biggest pay day in the uk and matchroom still the biggest promoter in the uk and one of the top ones in the US.

 

Hearn will be fine he knows how to make a pound note see the youtube thing last week.

AJ would probably retire though.

 

Hearn will be fine. AJ should retire but I don’t think he will. There’s still a few big fights which he would win and earn **** loads like Whyte.

 

If AJ loses they will put in a rebound fight against Chisora. Then they would make a fight against either Whyte or Joyce. After that they will look to make AJ & Usyk ( who will mostly likely would be champ by then).

 

Numbers wise AJ/matchroom will be fine. Worst case scenario for AJ is a comeback fight in a sold out o2 doing 500k+ buys at 20 pounds a pop.

However, I don't know if he can come back psychologically from another beating. Lets wait and see.

I can't wait to see AJ's performance against Ruiz. We just don't know what's going to turn up and that's why it's must-see.

 

AJ loses lead to 25% increases so I expect we will be paying £31.25 to see him fight Chisora

 

I'm still down to watch AJ against Wilder or Fury etc even with the loss. Would just show Ruiz has his number and then I'm down to see Ruiz against any of the other better fighters in the division.

He'd need to beat a contender first though.

 

same here, don't get the Joshua to retire shouts. as you say if the worst happens and ruiz has his number there is plenty of other fights for him that would be interesting to watch.

Retire just because he will have achieved all he can in the sport, he will have his health and He will be worth in excess of £100mil still. Why fight on?

 

Commercially there's a lot more milk in that cash cow. Once you have a profile like AJ anything you do is a big story, and people will pay to see that story unfold.

The bigger question is what physical and psychological damage another loss would do. Joshua is a very difficult guy to outpoint (for a number of reasons), and if he does lose it is likely to be another humbling stoppage defeat.

There’s absolutely no reason why Joshua can’t lose narrowly to Ruiz (or after having early successes) then come back to win a title and beat someone like Usyk, and then go into a trilogy rematch with Andy!

Would take a tremendous amount of mental strength to do that mind.

 

Frank will give him a good trade in price for AJ.
