He's dealt with pressure fighters before, that's the point DB is a pressure fighter= Canelo has dealt with pressure fighters= canelo has seen that style before. It's simple, don't make it complicated.

Hang on. You think a 6-2 power puncher with an endless gas tank, punch volume, faster hands, skill, durability and aggression, will bring nothing to the table that with bother Canelo in the least? And that Canelo will just walk him down?.You realize that is completely irrational right? You seem to think Benavidez is Callum Smith..

No no no. What year , what age was he when he dealt with a good pressure fighter, let alone someone of the extreme pressure That DB brings which I know he has never felt before. GGG was a stalker but not the same level of pressure fighter as DB. The fan boys seem to just ignore that Canelo is 33 and acting like age does not matter.

Who has Benavidez fought that is close to Canelo’s level? It’s real easy to look like you have an endless gas tank and an iron chin when you’re opponents are undersized or overmatched.

John Ryder was a pressure fighter, not quite the calibre fighter DB is but Canelo pieced him up. DB is a very good fighter, but I think Canelo even at 33 is still fighting at a high enough level that he would win that fight. Canelos kryptonite are movers, and great technical boxers. Those are the styles he looks the worst against.

No, it's you who seems to think Benavidez is Bivol... he's not. The only irrational one in this equation is you.

David rarely ever gets hit flush even by faster punchers than Canelo but apparently you think he will get caught flush every time he throws a punch. You are totally discounting Davids very solid guard and punch awareness and think he is marqaruito or something.

Even C grade Ryder threw 450 punches vs Canelo so it does not seem he was discouraged much at all but apparently Benavidez will be scared to throw down. Canelo could not stop Ryder or a 154 pounder but he will hurt Benavidez. I think you need to consider his previous fights and evidence rather than some illusion of Canelo which does not exist.

He is definitely not Bivol. He is bigger, faster , hits harder, has more skill and unlike Bivol actually has killer instinct. Saying Canelo beats Benavidez is whatever but to say Benavidez has nothing to bother him is ridiculous.

John ryder is the same size as Canelo and a C grade fighter. Comparing him to Benavidez is hilarious. I seem to remember GGG giving Canelo hell and he was not a mover. He was much smaller, Than Benavidez, slower, and a decade older. Canelo is 6 years older than the version who was arguably beaten twice by GGG.

You asked what pressure fighter Canelo has fought I gave you a recent one. Obviously everybody knows Ryder isn't the caliber of fighter DB is, (I even stated that in my post) but it's a similar style comparable enough to the point I'm making. So in short, Canelo has seen that pressure style before, but DB has not seen that type of Counter puncher that is Canelo Alvarez, and you know that's true.

I think Canelos counter punching is overrated. He does it sometimes you are acting like he is prime Toney or Floyd. In recent years he is a front foot pressure fighter rather than a counter puncher. He did nothing vs Bivol and C grade ryder went the distance and won 2-3 rounds.

CST80 can you explain how Benavidez has nothing for Canelo while GGG gave him so much trouble? GGG was a pretty basic technical pressure fighter who fought Canelo at mid range and handled Canelo. Benavidez is much bigger and faster than GGG, more dynamic and 10 years younger and packs power.

You might think he's overrated as a counter puncher but I don't. He's probably the best counter puncher in the game right now and at 33 years of age.

If John Ryder and David Benavidez were at all comparable, Canelo would have fought Benavidez instead of Ryder.

It is clear that Canelo Alvarez is not excited about the prospect of facing the guy.
