What would Canelos strategy be vs Benavidez?

Uh… I rate Benavidez highly, but he still leaves his chin high and straight when throwing on the offensive. He did it against Andrade just last weekend, Andrade is **** house and was never going to hurt David.

Canelo is a different story. Get complacent and expect a compact nuke of tren on your chin.

Fight on the inside, Benavidez doesnt counter in between shots and Canelo has proven granite chin. Canelos biggest mistake will be waiting oast 2024 to fight him.

Benavidez will get caught mid combination with a liver shot and will be all she wrote.

 

Canelo does not even punch between combinations like that anymore. He comes forward 1 punch at a time.

 

The strategy is apparently to remain silent and pretend that he doesn't exist.

 

There's definitely a couple of ways this could go. It's 50/50 imo but the younger stronger Benavidez is my favorite to win this one.

 

Clenelo is now going to claim he identifies as a female and won't fight Benavidez now because (s)he's a woman and Benavidez is a man.

 

Canelo can wait him out.

In another 18 months Benavidez won't be able to make 168 lbs without landing himself in a hospital emergency room.
