Interesting, r. Think with the right camp, Froch can do it?

Ward has looked increasingly difficult to beat with each fight. Before the super six started, he was not overly impressive and certainly wasn't the odds-on favorite to win. He's shown a new wrinkle every time he's stepped into the ring, to the point that he's now being compared to Hopkins.

He'll def need a tuneup before facing a fighter the caliber of Froch, but his injury should not derail him once the rust is gone.

Nah,forget Groves,he hardly beat James Degale even.He hasn`t deserved a shot at Froch yet.Groves wobbles from a punch against Scotlands Kevin Anderson,Froch destroys him.

maybe John, but I don't know if he'd even go that route. I think he's set in his mind that he's a great boxer and that he can win That way. He needs to just realize that Ward is a great boxer,a great tactician, on a different level than him skillwise. And just try to beat him up every second of every round. We know Froch can take a shot, so he better just plan on eating a lot of leather if this rematch happens.

Last night did not show me anything that made me believe a rematch would be any different.

He should keep his right hand up, ready to throw it straight down the pipe.

He's doing great with his jab though, that long reach does cause problems.

No matter how I turn it over in my mind, r, come to the same conclusion.

Has that long jab caused any problems for Ward, p?

Study a lot of tape. If Froch were to win, I think it depends more on trying to figure Andre Ward out more then tweaking his style. Froch needs to be able to time Ward and catch him with something good.

Great idea, V, but in a nine-week camp does Froch have any shot at learning how ta do that?

I guess it all comes down to sparring partners, like you mentioned in the opening post. I'm not really sure who would mimic Andre Ward's style. Pascal kind of jumps in with attacks like Ward likes to do but their movements and punching aren't very similar... Tough task trying to find the right guy, I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

Froch would need to vastly improve in so many areas that it's just unrealistic for him to make so many drastic changes to his game.

Froch has improved his jab, he's more consistent with it but even then Ward completely disarmed Froch's reach and jab in the first fight. Froch simply does not have the foot work or agility to control the range and keep Ward off him.

Once inside Ward is also the superior in close and while Froch is very strong he doesn't really know how to fight inside so his strength was negated by Ward's smarter infighting and clinching.

Froch can't out box him from range and can't beat him at mid or close range, I really can't see what Froch can do to win the fight. He would need to improve his agility, tighten up his guard, learn how to properly infight so he can use his size and strength in close and then set a work rate that will overwhelm Ward late in the fight to get the stoppage because he isn't going to win on points.

Froch would need to pull out a tremendous effort to win this fight, like when Collins beat Eubank the second time by just crushing him with constant aggression and pressure with no regard to safety or when Benn literally gave everything he had left against McClellan to pull out the win at the costs.

It's simply too much of an ask for Froch.

Froch has a lot of heart but Ward is just too skilled , I think he can make it a closer fight by putting pressure on Ward as others have said, Wards style is just too much to overcome, would like to see a rematch in the UK, as it would be good for both fighters motivation, Froch to overcome his loss and Ward to silence his critics regarding fighting away from home.

Robo-Quasimodo would need to improve his boxing skills.

Right now he's like Calslappy without speed. Just slow flurries of slapping a desperate attempt at getting a shitty British stoppage.
