A lot of them knew Paquaio they knew a lot of the fighters . Trouble is Floyd has no charisma No companies want him in commercials. He has no appeal I guess. You heard the joke about when Ali met the Pope I guess Someone said " Who's that guy with the funny hat up there with Ali "? lol

the sport will remain as corrupt as ****, and drug cheats will thrive, as long as the sport is broken up (and belts cheapened) by the federations

it might be a pipe dream, but it's the only way boxing can move forward and become credible

when casuals first get an interest, they hear these guys getting announced to the ring as 'multiple world champions' and everything seems legit - why would you question it when world champion in other sports means exactly that?).
then as you get more into it, you realize that there are a LOT of guys claiming to be world champions in each division, and they are ALL calling themselves world champions...
then you realize that some of these so-called 'world champions' only fight cupcakes and make a lot of $$$ doing it....
then you realize that each federation makes it's own rules, and since they are listed as charities, have the door wide open to corruption, because they profit from ALL proceeds/income/donations....
then you realize that this is how some 'world champions' (who only fight cupcakes) manage to do this without having an 'oh ****!' moment.

    I rest my case

One of the big problems is that we simply have waaaay too many so-called champions. Even as a relatively hardcore fan, I don't give a damn about most of them. Too many, and too many irrelevant ones for me to care.

How can one expect a casual fan to make head or tails of who the champs are, and keep track of them? They can't and won't.

One champ per division would help sort out a lot of problems.

*For one, the smaller list of titlists would make it easier for a casual to know who's who.

*It would also get the other top fighters in the division facing each other more, since they cannot pick and choose a champ to fight, and champs won't have a watered-down list of contenders to cherry-pick from.

*Less weight-jumpers, since the champ at say middleweight is going to be the best guy in the division and not someone you can just cherry-pick.

*Less sanctioning bodies and less general mess.

*In general, a higher standard of fights and less mismatches.

The sport is in a bureaucratic mess and it filters down to every level. Imagine we had 4 or 5 'world' champs in football, none of which ever faced the others...who would bother to watch that sport?

it gets frustrating when even the fans get onboard with these loop-holes for fighters they support, but then cry foul for fights they don't get to see using the same criteria
    it's a disease

The fighters shouldnt choose who they fight... they should be ordered to. Less weight divisions and 1 World champion per division...

    Simple

Boxing will literally be the best/ most popular sport in the world if this was to happen.

Promoters and money have ruined boxing.

they just need to clean the sport with fixed fights, pED use, and one boxing body controling all of boxing so all good fights will be made by the books making one legitimate champion per legitimate weight class. i think this is how boxing started so maybe they would consider going back to its past.

Less protection. Less rules. More blood.

    Works for MMA.

    Get rid of PPVs.
Single organisation with single champion per weight class.
That organisation produces an objective ranking system.
That ranking system is used to determine who fights whom.
Fights are judged on punches landed, not on subjective criteria like ring generalship.

I say this is correct, action, action, action is what casuals want. Casuals fans are labeled as such because they do not understand anything but the action, they don't understand the skill, strategy, technique etc. involved. So because only 30-40% of fights have great action, they only watch boxing 10-20% of the time.

So the trick is to get them understanding the finer details to get that hook set deep but, the initial hook has to be plenty of what they know and understand first, action, which BKB promises to provide them. So if BKB gets them to watch boxing consistently, then it would only be a matter of time before their minds start waking up to the strategy and skill because BKB is not devoid of it, and maybe that in turn gets them to like boxing in general.
