10 weight classes ( fly, bantam, feather , light , super light, welter , middle , lhw, cruiser , Heavy weight ) and very important ONLY 1 Champion per weight !!! this would make those champions household names .

A heap of stuff, a couple of quick things of the top of my head:

-Review judges performances, & demote/ punish them for incompetencies
-Limit people allowed in the ring before & after the fight
-Return to day of the fight weight ins
    -one champ per division

Lots more buts those are the ones that really irk me

1 champion per division, this also forces champions to fight the best contender since their would be a mandatory defense of their title against the best challenger. Also boxing needs one governing body like other sports.

I'd say this is certainly debatable but maybe cut 12 rounds to 10 for safety of fighters. Also it would make more action since shorter rounds means more explosion.

Judges need to be abolished. there should be some computer system or algorithm which determines a winner of a fight based on a set criteria.

Make the weigh-in on the same day of the fight, this will deter fighters from draining themselves to make certain weights since they can't regenerate and will stay bad, same for people going up in weight.

Also maybe change the weight ranges based on each division to maybe shorten the number of divisions. The weight ranges should also have a justification. Why is a certain division a certain weight range? It can't be arbitrary.

Theres a lot of other stuff too.

Scoring system... I think similar but not exactly like the Olympics where there's a scoreboard for everyone to see

That way, robberies won't be an end of the fight surprise

They need to think of some kind of scoring criteria that isn't based around someone's (a judge's) opinion

If they had open scoring after every round the losing boxer would know he has to do something different to win.

One belt in each division. Bring back 15 rounders. Heavyweight is 200-230, Superheavy is 231+. Fighters must fight 3 times a year to be ranked. Judges get ranked by how accurate their judging was so we can get rid of the ones that hand down ridiculous decisions. Oh, and point deductions for clinching.

If you shorten the number of fights you lower the amount of action in every fight. It's a simple equation. More rounds = more fighting. I've been watching some kickboxing recently. They fight half as fast as boxers and it's disgusting. In Muay Thai kickboxing they feel their opponent out and take the first round slow so the gamblers can get their bets in, then if they think they've got it won they take the last round off. In K1 which is Japanese and Dutch style kickboxing they only fight for three rounds with extra optional rounds in the case of a draw. Why three? I mean why not one? Why fight at all? Boxing with it's ten and twelve rounds makes every kickboxer and mma fighter look like pussies by comparison. I see these guys gassing in the second and third rounds! And then almost every scrap goes to a decision when if the fighters just had an extra round or two they could have sorted it out for themselves. Anyway, there is a damn good reason why all the best fights go 10-15 rounds. Anything less, is just less.

Also, I think that statistically as many fatalities happen in the early rounds as the late rounds, and the day of the fight weight drains were the major culprit there. Next day fighting does cause a lot of ballooning but it also gives fighters the time to rehydrate and keep their skull from bouncing around in their heads.

They have a computer type system of judging in the Olympics that has basically turned amateur boxing into a game of tag. Not every hit is equal. When one fighter is a knockout artist and the other is a featherfist compubox will always inaccurately reflect the fight.

Honestly the one belt would solve nothing the big guys don't give a **** about belts, Pacquiao or Mayweather wouldn't hold it and we would still know then champ isn't the best
