Early eighties, can't remember the first one though. Still got them on video, gonna be a massive task getting them onto dvd.
I have made a start though. Very frustrating, for every discI use I seem to be throwing one away when it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Lee McDonald/Zammo fight here. He was okay until he got into heroin, still his missus on Grange Hill was always a bit of a babe.

Used to watch this and be pissed off that it was only big cities that got on the show boxing in similar tight shorts for a small town ABC

I started taping fights around 1989, first tape has McAuley, McDonnell, Graham and McCrory on it.

Only ever watched Benn, Bruno and Welsh boxers though.

Only really got into boxing properly recently though.

****ing hell, jog those memories. My old fella is Alan Rudkin and I remember having a drink with him in a pub called Maxwells Plum in Liverpool. I must of been about 17. This fella come over and started talking to my dad and said "I know you must hear this a lot but my lad of 16 is a good little fighter and he's gonna go far" My dad said "what's his name?" to which he replied Paul Hodkinson. I said I know him he's knocked out a couple of lads I know and we had a nice drink.
a few years later we're sitting there at a tribute night for me dad with Hoko and his family and his mum said remember that day we had a drink. Paul was WBC featherweight champ at the time. his old fella was right.
Funny thing is I remember his dad as like a middle age fella. He looks young now looking at that video , he must be younger than I am now. Where have those years gone?.
