At the end pacroid fans are going to believe what they want, even if Pacquio comes out and say it, the will not believe it.

So your saying he just believes in god more than other athletes? Also, his faith wouldn't really make OTHERS perceive him as invincible if they're religious themselves. His faith would make him seem invincible to himself.

He gets so butthurt when someone praises Pac. It's hard to praise his idol who continues to duck and makes an ass of himself every chance he gets. :rofl

His current win streak and the manner in which he is doing it is what is behind his aura of invincibility.

To me, though, he doesn't have that aura. I always think there is a chance he might lose because of the guys he fights. Hindsight is 20/20, though.

The subject line reminds me of the saying: 'Beneath the tinsel of Hollywood is the REAL tinsel of Hollywood'

He's been carefully matched against fighters who are bigger, less skilled, and much slower than himself, AFTER those fighters have lost their own auras of invincibility (with the exception of Clottey and Diaz who never had that aura). And he's done extremely well against them. Great performances....but, even better MARKETING..

for the moment i thought you are talking about floyd until i read clottey. but when you said "marketing", i'm positive, you are talking about floyd. all marketing but the actual fights needs more to be desired.

    Invincible ? No way .

he's in a comfort zone - since JMM he's fought one real challenge in Cotto
the rest have been Oscar who couldnt fight back , Clottey who wouldnt fight back and hatton and Marg basically walked forward with their chins in the air saying " here you go manny , please smash my face in "

we need to see manny fight a hungry, hydrated slick fighter who isnt called mayweather.

aside from martinez, who would be 20 pounds or more than pacquiao on fight night, who would fit this category? there is only one fight for pac right now and he can retire, and it is floyd.

Clearly talking about Manny, as he is the topic of this thread. And when I refer to "Marketing", I am referring to the 'David and Goliath' angle, which we see used over and over again, as a selling point, in Manny's recent fights.

but pac really is small even at welter so no need for this kind of marketing. people will clearly sees that he is smaller than most of his opponent at the weight even against floyd. but if they are using that angle, floyd has been using his "0" and the "let's see who could beat me" angle just to watch him. but the end result is the actual fight. which fighter does give fans more entertainment value and which disappoints fans more after each fight?
